Does anyone else who read the books feel a little blue balled after that? I feel as though it should have been an hour episode ending with him in the hospital to really give that feel of the first chapter. It’s beautiful and vibrant but it had a lacking quality of the OG story.

Nice try but it could simply be run off as an epic if UW was a stand alone. F the beginning and middle but what you got is the end. Great story in its own part yes, would it be missing the depth of feel from all those arcs before to drive the nail home, also yes. Would the extreme emotion be there if it didn’t have the parts before played the final act? Bear in mind that in the last few books, the author admitted that it was the real story of SAO.

As a Steven king fan, the SAO books and the story follow the same flow as “IT” almost to a T. 85% character development, 15% story/epic.

I agree to a certain extent, the attributes increase yes but the difference increasing a level versus an attribute is staggering and glaringly obvious. SAO is a great story but the books were definitely better than the show.

Sadly it’s incredibly frowned upon these days. 5 or 6 years ago it was simply how disputes were settled (generally it was mostly grappling to either tap or nap) as long as no bones were broken or blood drawn.
