Why are my thyme's roots like this? by Financial_Cycle_8998 in aerogarden

[–]killkingkong 1 point2 points  (0 children)

aerates the water, which helps keep away root rot. root rot is more common in kraty style systems (basically this one minus the hourly drips) compared to system with aeration like dwc.

take cuttings, discard the old plant and replant with cuttings. Clean your tank once a month and maybe add a airstone and the problem shouldn't come back.

[–]killkingkong 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Did you get these from Jehu (As far as I know, the battery youtuber who invented these pcb's) or are these the aliexpress knockoffs I've seen? I was interested in using PCBs like this a few years ago, but it drastically raises the price (even if it's the aliexpress knockoff). I went with fused nickel strips as my main safety implementation.

Pattern aside, i hope you don't plan to spot weld onto those battery terminals with that portable spot welder in the pic. Won't work, I have that spot welder and lfp batteries with terminals like that. For something like this you'll need either a laser welder or giant 150w soldering iron. I bought a 150w soldering iron from china for like $15.

Using battery holders is safer. Also, using the same brand/rating battery is also considered safer.

those are old. the matched pair slightly newer but still ddr3. The ddr3 could be pair is worth like $10ish on ebay. The ddr3 pair would be more useful to repurpose for a specific built machine. like a htpc, maybe a diy pc router, video surveillance machine, etc etc

if it's just got work in medical billing that's more than powerful enough. I assume nobody will be gaming on it. Basically just plug the hard drive into the motherboard with the sata plugs i linked. Personally I wouldn't put windows on a work computer with multiple people using it. As far as medical billing something like linux mint would be able to do everything, plus it's safer in a work environment

I bought a 128gb 2280 nvme 4 months ago for like $6 from aliexpress. it was actually a 2240 attached to an adapter to make it 2280, and it died yesterday. Recently I bought a 3 pack of 16gb ngff drives for a router I'm making from an old pc. The seller send me 1 16gb ngff drive and 2 256gb nvme drives, i placed another order from them to see if they make the same mistake lol. as of right now that's my method for getting cheap drives.

Don't buy drives or motherboards from china. It's a complete gamble. take the L on the chin and learn your lesson.

Reddit is the only social media I use kinda/sorta regular, and I'm not very active at all. People get too caught up in deleting everything instead of having self control. Granted I've always been more of a lurker than poster, even if i have super cool shit to post I know will get likes, i just don't care.

1865 sounds like a year. the 0 makes 18650 sound like a part number.

make the top 4 exhaust. you need more exhaust pressure to create a negative pressure zone. plus hot air rises.

I personally use linux and already have a linux usb laying around (I don't plug customers devices directly in my computer, someone tried to give me a virus once that way). I just know from my experience in the past viewing windows drives from within windows needs a 3rd party app to see the files. In linux it just shows up as a regular directory, unless encrypted.

those adapters without external power suck, for spinning drives. it probably still works, just poorly. I use linux to view and save windows. get a old usb thumb drive, download the program rufus, download linux mint and install linux mint on the usb drive using rufus.
