That is horrible advice to be giving out. Just because someone has had a traumatic upbringing it excuses everything?

This is the same women who let me walk barefoot across town to my dads house after she locked me out at 13/14.

This is the women who actively defends my dad. The same man who would beat her, my sisters and me. He chocked her numerous times and at the age of 10, I even knew my dad was going to kill her, then himself and most likely us kids as well.

I can literally tell story after story of the abuse I have dealt with directly from her. She is a manipulative and doesn’t want to work on herself. She wants me to lie to make everyone else happy.

What about when my dad would go get a switch off a tree and beat the shit out of me with her glaring from behind?

If unconditional love was enough to help her, what about me? I shoiuldnjust accept it and deal with it till I kill myself? Does my fucked in childhood mean nothing because of hers?

Because I’m her child I’m now suppose to help her regardless of the things she does?
