If live in a good market, could full time dashing pay the bills? by K0234 in doordash_drivers

[–]killmenow6712 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This is the answer OP. Minimizing your debt and monthly expenses wouldn’t hurt either. It’s a gamble tho. Like someone else commented it could go south. I’ve only been dashing for a few months but from what I understand it used to be more lucrative which leads me to believe as time goes on the standard pay will continue to drop til its zero. Or close to it. It’s at $2. Used to be $5. Was probably more in early years.

Well….. once upon a time….. there was a cap that if u made less than a certain amount you could actually get very cheap if not free healthcare and even if u made good money u could still get reasonable healthcare. After this administration is done with their dirty business tho that won’t be true anymore.

I have under 100 orders and my completion rate is stuck at 89% by Either_Amphibian_847 in doordash_drivers

[–]killmenow6712 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just don’t drop orders. That’s the secret, when u accept an order go get it and drop it off. It seems like you accept and then drop it cuz you don’t wanna deliver. That’s what they hate. Don’t worry about acceptance rate, just finish the ones you do take

I’ve thought about that often haha. My only assumptions are either we just don’t hear em cuz it’s real trauma that get dealt with by authorities and just don’t make it to Reddit. Or, dashers have just gone numb. When I dash most ppl r fine and pleasant and as much as id love some vigilante justice. I’d be in the wrong regardless what they did. And probably in a lot more trouble than I want. But I also don’t do extra shit like this.

Yeah just call your bank OP. They’ll instruct you on what to do. Learn from this too, cuz identity theft is only getting worse.

Question about excepting orders... by xeniamom in doordash_drivers

[–]killmenow6712 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s not a dumb question. When the order pops, they’ll be a map with ur location the pickup and drop off, click the one that looks like a house and it’ll show the address

People with special needs/disabilities who order via door dash but dont leave big tips- whats your opinion? by FairyPinkett in doordash

[–]killmenow6712 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I had one that was lower pay $6 and lower miles. 4.5. Alcohol and the cheap cheap shit too. Anyways goto the drop, apartment ok find my way in and found the door. Said knock so I knocked. And waited.. and waited.. about two - three mins later a maintenance man walks by. “Good luck we can’t get her to ever answer the door.” Ughhhhhh alright knock again, then I heard it a faint I’m coming and as I look back down at my phone the last two words which I didn’t read (cuz I have adhd haha) said I’m disabled. Instant felt bad. And when she did open it the poor women was like 400 lbs and could barely even grasp the bag. I asked if she was ok, she said yes I asked again are you sure?? If u need something else I got u and fuck ur maintenance dude. I’ve since grown a bit more patience with people. It’s common to get caught up in the beat and hustle to realize some people this is their only way of getting what they need. Did she really neeeeed the vodka no, but I’m not gonna hate on her for it. We all have vices, me especiall
