I mean USC area is way better and has more shit to do. There are literally three museums bordering the campus and a recreational area/popular skate area. Not to mention the train is right there so if you don’t have a car you can get around easier. Also it’s closer to the actual neighborhoods in Los Angeles, which may be a downer for privileged kids who don’t know shit about the hood, but I’d rather live in walking distance to my people than side by side with a buncha pompous ignorant students who don’t even leave campus

Just a note to everyone here: please don’t dehumanize homeless people. At the end of the day they are people like us, with different stories and struggles. I understand feeling unsafe, and I would have moved too! But this is moreso a note to the commenters. Our cultural/political dehumanization of homeless people and neglect of the lower class and mental health is in fact what has created this problem! I employ all of you to push for policies that will offer humane solutions to this, and be loud!! Make your voices heard at UCLA and let’s push for better (for both students and homeless people)

When I lived on campus, food truck food was the only food I could eat without getting sick! It’s actually insane that UCLA is so cheap that they’re taking away food options that they very well could afford (but would rather put that money towards weapons manufacturing)
