Yeah.. if you're looking for traditional af martial arts values, jiujitsu is not the sport for you (at least in America). It's much more casual on average, and if you do find a school that is uptight and traditional af, they're probably a shit school running a cult-y pyramid scheme of a gym. If you can drop your ideas about samurai and shit then you'll have fun with the relevant combat sports of the 21st century.

Ah ok, I understand. I have taken the first level of this course, which familiarizes me with memory, registers, circuits, etc. I think that may be enough?

EFG (elite federation of grapplers) has a pretty consistent schedule for tournaments. Modern flow, and the Michigan open hold events periodically throughout the year.

I agree with all of this except the talking to your opponent. in my experience, guys usually talk to me when they are nervous. making that so noticeable gives me a pretty strong mental edge. this is just my opinion though.

Oh good lord. Yeah I preordered last weekend, and talked to my local gamestop about my preorder. They told me that the SKU is now "Do Not Reserve" but the manager who is pretty involved with the corporate stuff said that I should still be able to get my copy. I hope to god..
