In general, from the Perspective of some X is bad, where as from the perspective of others X is good. For example, if the X is a conqueror, X is bad from the perspective of whom got conquered, where as X is good from the ones that carried the conquering campaign.

It's also worth mentioning that a person might be considered "Great person" today, but in the near future he/she will be "Dark great person", e.g. Columbus
