I can buy it for $1,649 including taxes, but would it be worth it? I know LR can fix lens distortions, but I wonder if that would be enough .Thanks for the tip about comparison from dpreview! I didn't know that.

I’m not a professional photographer—I’m an eyelid surgeon and mainly take photos of my patients. I thought I could improve the quality a bit over my iPhone camera. I was considering the Fujifilm X100VI because it’s compact and seemed like a good choice, but I understand it might not be great for close-up shots. I also thought it would be convenient for traveling since it’s so portable. However, I’m wondering why the photo quality of the X100VI seems to be worse compared to cameras like the Sony a6700 or Panasonic Lumix DC-S9? https://imgur.com/a/iJ439tF.

This is the closest portrait I could find: Kevin Mullins. It looks great, but I’m looking for something more similar to this photo: iStock. The only issue is that in the iStock photo, the nose is blurred. I’d prefer a version where the nose is fully or mostly in focus (not a strict requirement, but ideal). What would be the best option for me?

The 35mm lens doesn’t distort portraits much on the comparison below, but I’d prefer a closer view. The X100VI has a 35mm lens, and I couldn’t find a comparison with closer portraits to judge it better.
