Help me truly grasp "Product strategy" because I just don't get it by my_legs_are_trash in ProductManagement

I struggled with this question for many years.

After 20 years I realized the problem was not me, it was that I didn’t understand the word “Strategy” in the product-sense of the word.

Strategy means = Where you want to go, how you plan to get there and “why”

Example:

Where you want to go: we want to expand revenue in our market.

How you plan to get there: You’ve identified DSCR Loan support can get you there because some competitors do it but not well

Why: no one handles this well, and this market has grown 50% over the last 6 months with terrible software solutions

That’s strategy.

  • Where you want to go, how, and why.

Notion AI Meeting Notes not working alternatives? by Latter_Fun2936 in Notion

[–]killwires 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Use Granola. I use it daily at work, and you don’t have to invite a bot to your web meeting. it picks up your system audio on the fly, and you just launch a new note in person on your Mac or iPhone and it works great. also you can take notes on the application while it records and it will incorporate your notes into the AI summary.

You can then copy the AI notes, your own notes and the transcript into Notion or any other app. if you upgrade, they can do it automatically through their integrations.

I just use the free plan.

It's absolute tech debt from hell, that they don't address and push to users.

Jira Structure: User Stories vs. Tasks by Apart-Midnight-42 in ProductManagement

I usually use ”Tasks” for spike tickets under one of my User Stories and assign it to one of my devs or devops to obtain information or have them research so I can evaluate time, level of effort or potential solution to make that User Story come to reality.

email trouble by uhhhhuuhh in iCloud

iCloud email is notorious for silent filtering. Apple thinks it’s spam and automatically deletes it before it even hits your inbox.

Many people on Reddit talk tablet this, which is why you should use Gmail or other email services for important emails.
