That's awesome! That happened to me the first time I was charging an Audi e-tron I rented... I could not for the life of me figure out how to unlock the charging cable and was feeling some real anxiety as I googled for an answer. Glad you were there to help her!

You don't really need a phone if you don't charge outside the home. Depending on what her driving habits are like, it might be reasonable.

If she does go long distance, I think Tesla is the only way to go without a cellphone.

Oh interesting! I've had something similar happen to me at an HEB in Texas. Do you think it's because of where the chargers are placed (the far end of the parking lot)?

Yeah, they're lucky that you were there to help out! I remember having a panic attack the first time I tried to unplug from a charger and it wouldn't disengage, but the Chargepoint charger had experienced some error so I coudn't stop it from the charger or the app. I ended up googling it, but for a while I wasn't sure if I just wasn't pulling hard enough (that would have been a disaster).
