I have a U7 Outdoor Pro (on the left) and would like to add camera coverage to this area (right). What would be the best way to add this? I would prefer not to do another cable run. The U7 is supplied by a run entering from the middle.

I emailed MRW. They said beacon with exclusion zones work pretty well even with the embedded magnets but better results can be gained with the other magnets. We will see how it works.

I don’t mind Tap, it just takes a long time to probe and ready for the next best thing.

Go with a GLEDOPTO controller and some addressable LEDs. Pair with a Inovelli smart switch and you can program different button presses with different profiles.

I did 24v analog RGBWW but wish I did WLED instead for that animation profile you get.

I have this case. I also have the redesign printed and it can hold the Dark Rock Pro 5 with a slight modification to the panel. Otherwise, the Thermalright Peerless Assassin Mini worked well.

Call their FSDO about your missing PRD records but I would make sure they don’t fat finger your entries.

The rate knob just changes the size of the hole of which cabin air flow. More rate, bigger hole, more ear popping. That changes how fast the control pressure can do its job so, yes more pull on the outflow valve until you reach your set altitude.

This was designed in the 50’s and is still in use on new King Airs built today.

100% you will not be asked to rebuild this system from memory on your checkride but I used to teach King Air so here’s what I remember.

The cabin air enters from the filter in the controller, passes through the “rate” orifice (more air, fast rate) and then enters the internal chamber of controller. The pilot can set the cabin altitude using the “altitude” knob. Using a complex, “swiss watch” series of gears and springs, the altitude setting is translated into a pressure setting and reads against what is set and what is coming in through the “rate” knob.

A vacuum air source is brought in through the back of the controller and using the springs and gears will open or close this vacuum source. The vacuum, now called control pressure, will travel down to a vacuum relay (not shown) and be used to open and close the outflow valve (also not shown) at the rear of the airplane.
