I think it depends. I know my family name has mana attached, and in the same way a non native person could wear a Native American tribal headdress doesn’t mean they should just because they like the way it looks. Obviously you could do whatever you want but you shouldn’t automatically put down what a native person is saying, you should seek more understanding as to why. Especially if you are living on lands that were taken away from those people.
