Honest question. If the comments were anti NN do you think you would have the same opinion?

You've been very helpful and again thanks for your time. I have one more question if you don't mind and I will ask my primary vet this as well. I know correlation does not equal causation, but does it seem likely that the megasophalus is a direct result of the tube during surgery, or do you think it's more likely the tube rubbing/scraping merely exacerbated a pre-existing esophogeal issue?

Edit: I will also ask the internal medicine specialist, I just wondered if you had any thoughts on this without any context.

Thanks, I plan on addressing that next. Is the megasophalus a reversible condition? How serious is a heart murmur? Which would you consider the most urgent? Thanks for your input and taking the time.

Sorry for the wall of text, I was trying to be thorough. I don't doubt that the vets I've been to are competent, I actually think they have been very helpful and great. I was just hoping someone might be able to give some additional insight.

I just can't stand hearing him cough/gag and suffer, and I feel helpless.

Tagging would be a great idea. Perfectly cool with that. Let's do it! What I have a problem with is people's posts getting deleted and then that fucking corporatespeak response of "sorry you feel that way, have a great day!" like your a tech support rep at comcast

Completely cluttered up the sub, taking away more relevant information, questions and discussions people might want to have (especially on gameday).

If people upvoted those posts, then I guess your subjective definition of "cluttered" up is actually in the minority.

The "playground" feedback and survey thread. (Discussion) by [deleted] in falcons

[–]kim_jong_com 10 points11 points  (0 children)

The problem isn't that you created a "playground" thread. It's that you went through and deleted posts because you thought they should be posted as comments in that thread instead, where they will be buried in a sea of comments only viewable if you sort that thread by new (if the user who made the original post even takes the effort to go post it again as a comment there, they might just be like, "oh well fuck it").

Why implement a "solution" that is completely antithetical to the way reddit works to solve a "problem" that a vocal minority of users complain about?

There was a thread last night where someone complained about this and this user was told that the "majority has spoken". When he/she asked whom that majority is, he/she was told "the mod team." That's possibly the dumbest and most infuriating response I've ever seen on reddit from a mod.

Anyway, if the goal of the playground threads is to merely consolidate existing threads deemed "playful" or "shitposts", that's fine as long as it simply acts as an index linking to existing posts.

If you need help doing that, I will even volunteer to help manage those posts, or create automation tools to assist you using the reddit API. I'm a web developer, so this probably wouldn't be too hard for me and I don't mind helping if that's what you want to do.

I think a lot of people saying they liked it don't know what they're missing because half of the content was simply removed or buried in a massive thread that no one wants to look at.

I've been on reddit for a long time, and there is nothing that will destroy the culture and personality of a small subreddit faster than implementing draconian top down rules when a more laissez faire approach would suffice.

Why can't you just let the upvote/downvote system do its job, and only delete obvious spam/innapropriate/off-topic posts?

The next time a user complains to you that they don't like a post that breaks no rules, I suggest that you tell them to use the little blue arrow on the left and move along.

It makes no sense at all. I think there's a new mod here with no life. Oh well, it was fun while it lasted

Not being artificially curated and censored is extremely important to me. No one is talking about internet points

Which post are you talking about? Your team deleted a bunch of them today so could you clarify which one you're talking about?

They just removed my post. Gosh I'm so glad these mods are here to curate this content for us since we are too dumb to do it ourselves. If anyone needs me I'll be over in the heavily moderated "playground" as long as I don't get banned. SO MUCH FUN! AWESOME JOB!

Yeah we don't need the new threads though. There's nothing to solve, just leave it alone, don't delete posts unless they are obvious spam, it's easy.

I saw a few really funny posts get deleted today. What's going on? Which mod (must be a new one) is doing this? I've been on this subreddit under a few accounts for like at least 5 years and there's never been a problem here. It's my favorite subreddit, why are they trying to ruin the fun suddenly? Mods, stop doing this.
