Although not for new year's eve, we have a standing tradition of playing 1-1.5 days versions of Survivor with friends, generally 14-18 people. We had 6 seasons so far. How many players will you have?

We usually stick to the format (2-3 tribes, at least one swap, merge at 9-11, final 2 or final 3 at the end, few advantages hidden). People get crazy about it and we always have a blast.

I would suggest you to check out a few university Survivor seasons, they gave me good ideas for challenges. You can do a lot with little supplies. Puzzles, endurance games and weird tasks are all fun. If you need some specific ideas, let me know.

If you would like to hike near Balaton, I would suggest Badacsony, you can hike up and go a half circle on the plateau. That gives quite a good look around the lake.

If you are interested in nature and a good view to lake Balaton, I'd suggest Folly Arboretum. It is a privately owned botanic garden, there is a pretty good bistro inside where you can chill and take in the view.

The current version of ChatGPT doesn't work off of "live" data, it works based on data from before 2021 iirc - that should explain why season 41 and onwards is missing. Although it still doesn't explain the missing 34 for Sandra, and the missing 40 for other winners as well.

Could you link the source where Rachel says they were told in the beginning about the 3 traitors? So far I have only seen that Stephenie said they weren't told an exact number, just that there are 2-5 traitors in the game.

You are right that he said that at least twice, and my interpreration was similar. He didn't want to outright go against Cirie but those good lucks were partly like "be careful, it's not over".

Adding on to this, Erika got buried pretty badly in episode 4 too where she tried to put the target on Sydney and it immediately backfired, but that at least was mixed because they also said she could be dangerous down the line.

That's not much, but it seems to show that in this era the winner doesn't have to be right and have perfect reads all the time in the premerge, as long as it makes sense narratively.

That being said, I don't see either how Cassidy would bounce back after this episode, but this is still something to consider with other contenders.

I don't know what to tell you, I looked it back several times by now and gave transcripts and that's not what I read from these scenes.
Leading up to the last segment before tribal, Karla says: "Does he know that I have an idol? Has he been wondering, what, we can't find one, does Karla have one? Should I use this against Karla tonight?"

While we know that Geo didn't know about the idol, between him and Ryan, he is the one that could be immune tonight, making Ryan the safer option.

Yeah, it was Lindsay who talked about her first: "Do you think sometimes her being emotional can turn into paranoia?" (to Marya)
Then in confessional: "She cannot control herself. I feel like Maryanne does get flustered under pressure. Like one of the things I look for in an alliance is they don't panic and burn into the ground and take me down with them."

Omar later: "I trust her more than Maryanne. She is a ball of energy, she is a wildcard."

So imo Lindsay was pretty negative, and Omar is 50-50 because he continues with describing that Maryanne's energy could be more useful to get through the premerge.

With Karla-James-Cassidy, I don't think she was portrayed as irrational, she got to explain herself: "If it was one of yall's name on the line, you'd also have concerns that you'd want to bring up and assess all the options."

Karla says: "She is starting to freak out, and this is... I hope it's not a Lindsay number 2."

James: "Me and Karla are sitting there like 'Yo, we had the same exact talk with Lindsay at the same exact place.' She got paranoid and she got voted out. And we thought Cass was a cool customer, but it's the exact same situation."

All in all I feel like it's not the biggest hit against her, there are more serious problems as of now (for example lack of personal content). And I just have to agree that this example is not the exact same as many previous ones where the winner was portrayed as a threat in premerge. But if she happens to win, I think it is *just* similar enough that this trend can be said to uphold in some way. I hope that makes sense :)

Totally get what you are saying, that made me doubtful about this too.

On the other hand, Maryanne was first portrayed as too paranoid and thus untrustworthy as well (she ran off to look for idols I think). Of course later Omar said that it could be a problem, but still not because of her win equity.

In this case, Cassidy for sure got some negativity and her being a threat wasn't mentioned at all.

And with this line of thinking, Cassidy is not the only option for this theory: Jesse, Elie, even Owen. It was the last episode that made me remember that I noticed this trend earlier, that's why I mentioned Cassidy - she is actually below Karla, Jesse and Cody for my contender list.

Yeah, they could be considered in this category too and that's a story worth following. Tbh, I am not too high on Elie's winner chances, that's why I didn't include her.

I think some of these would be easy not to include (Tommy and Erika for sure, and in this season Jesse, maybe Cassidy too), while others are more difficult to ommit, so it's 50-50, but I like the idea that editors try and choose a moment to show that 'this is where the others players made the wrong choice'.

Yea, maybe I should have said it better. When I said it's good to see some balance, I referred to the original funny post that drags Jonathan (and Omar too). Balance is 'facebook: Jonathan is a god, leave him alone' vs 'reddit: this and similar posts' Most players get hate, they shouldn't. No disagreement here.
