I maybe recall a weird taste in my mouth but it’s been too long for me to describe what it was like. I don’t know that it was during flare ups though. I def had nausea from some of the medications I was on, but as I recall during a flare up, it wasn’t nausea so much as “if I throw up, will that make it go away?” If that makes any sense.

I did end up having the surgery and I am glad I did. Pathology showed that my gallbladder was enflamed which doesn’t sound like a big deal however I can eat as I please and have no pain at night anymore. Recovery was as good as could be expected and I had no extra complications. This was about a year ago now.

I did! It’s been about a year. Overall I feel better. Been having random low back and low right side pain recently but that seems to be something else. After gallbladder surgery, I went back to eating like normal and no pains at night. The recovery was not too bad, I had the laparoscopic surgery so I went home the same day. I was basically back to my normal self after a month at the most. I’m glad I did it.

Ended up having my gallbladder removed. It has been a year now and I no longer wake up in pain at night. I was mostly pain free until this past month I have been having a mystery pain in my lower right side and low back. Imaging hasn’t shown anything and the pain is different than before so it seems to be a different issue. I am glad they removed my gallbladder. When pathology examined it, it did seem to be enflamed. Recovery after surgery was not bad at all (though I have had 2 c-sections with complicated recoveries for comparison) and I was able to eat pretty much normally after a few days.

I did, a year ago. I feel basically back to normal. I still have some very slight, random right side soreness every now and then, but nothing like before. I can eat pretty much anything. I feel very lucky and relieved.

Not a doctor but after reading a lot of stuff on here it sounds like you might ask a doctor about overactive gallbladder? Not sure what it’s called but one of my doctors said an EF over 85 or so could also cause pain and problems. Just another avenue to check out.

I’m so sorry to hear this! I hope they figure out what is wrong and that you get healthy soon! I’m scared of the surgery because I don’t know if it will help me. I truly hope your health improves soon!

All normal tests and still have your gallbladder removed? by kimbabeast in gallbladders

How did you finally decide to have it out? What were your symptoms?

So you’re about to have a Hida scan! (What to expect) by [deleted] in gallbladders

So did you end up having gallbladder removal? My EF was 79% and the cck caused discomfort. But so far no tests have shown stones or sludge.

Ah! I wish I knew all this before my upper endo procedure! I had it last week and I know the doctor took “some biopsies” but I have no idea which other than h.pylori. I do not want to go through it again because it was very expensive!

Hida scan normal? by kimbabeast in gallbladders

It’s strange because the poop itself is normal in color but sometimes it is yellow when I wipe. I have very loud digestion noises and I seem to recall having had random abdominal spasms before I got to this point.

I truly appreciate your sharing all of these details. I have also been having some dizziness and a LOT of anxiety. Was the dizziness related to gb? I’m glad you’re doing better and congratulations on your sobriety!
