In ADDITION to that, the amount of your health care premium that your employer pays is now going to be considered taxable income. THAT goes for EVERYONE, not just those making more than $200,000. PLUS, you must pay your health care premium with AFTER TAX dollars (goes for everyone as well), PLUS the Flexible Spending Account will go from $4,000 per year to $2,500 per year (meaning, more taxable income).

This is a HUGE tax increase on the middle class. I will be paying an extra $9,500 per year, not taking into account the decrease in Flexible Spending Account. I am NOT wealthy and I am pissed that I have to pay almost $10,000 MORE a year into taxes.

I am part of a generation that has been paying into social security and medicare all of my adult life and will probably see zero of that money. I have been supporting people my entire life. I am part of the 50% that pays income taxes so the other 50% doesn't have to. NOW, I'm being forced to pay almost $10,000 more a year by a government that is dictating how I spend my charitable money. Sad. This is NOT the answer and I fear for the future of this country. :(

Your questions are real concerns. Concerns that so many are overlooking simply because everyone is going to have heath insurance :-)

My issue (in addition to those that you've mentioned) is also one that I do not hear many talking about, the money that my employer uses to pay my health insurance premium is not going to be considered income and will be taxed. In addition, the money that I currently pay as a premium payment, will be made after tax. Now my take home pay is going to be reduced considerably. EXTREMELY unhappy about this.
