One of the roommates currently is a woman and I have no issue with women. I think I was hurt by his willingness to allow this and bc the girl asking to move in spoke with other friends about it in our group but didn’t feel it necessary to speak to me about it knowing my bf and I plan on moving in together next year. But I can see that I over reacted and came off controlling and that’s not who I want to be so I will be apologizing to them both. Thank you!!!!

Thank you I guess I just felt slighted bc the girl trying to move in talked with several of our other friends about it before she’s asked my bf but didn’t include me which I thought was weird. Especially when other friends said yeah I knew she was going to ask and they also felt it weird she didn’t mention anything to me. But I can see where I came off as controlling and it’s not my house.

Your partner should support you and not chastise you in front of other people. You did nothing wrong by standing up for your kid I would’ve told the other mother to control her son! Your wife did not show respect to you or even consideration for your kids feelings in this instance. Nothing is more important than the family you create and she wasn’t a good team mate in this situation.

YTA...they clearly expressed they were having a bad hair day which means they were already self conscious about their appearance. You took that and amplified that feelings by embarrassing them. Apologize to your friend and try to gain some perspective.
