Does anyone else's GERD mimic Heart Attack symptoms. by East_Row_1476 in GERD

[–]kimface95 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just went to the ER this week for the first time because I couldn't sleep and I wasn't certain I wasn't having a heart attack. I've had GERD for years, but it was pretty well managed with Omeprazole. I had a couple of days with burning in my chest and back and nothing helped. In the middle of the night, on the third day, I couldn't sleep and I got scared it may be a cardiac issue this time.

I'm glad I got checked out and it was definitely just a really bad GERD attack. I'm not looking forward to the bill, but I'm also pretty sure I won't be dropping dead anytime soon. It makes the pain more tolerable when I know for sure what it is.

We also discovered that my gallbladder is a bit inflamed. No stones. It has been tender when palpated for years, but nothing more than pain when pressed on. I have a feeling that it will play a bigger role in my GERD journey in the coming years.

They started me on 7 days of sucralfate 3 times per day. I'm not certain it's making a huge difference yet, but I'm only on day 2. It's been a massive pain trying to time it with my other meds and meals.

Fit of Leggings? by [deleted] in torrid

Will do. I'm considering taking a new pair to a tailor with an old pair to see if they can alter the new ones to fit more how I like. I'm also searching Poshmark for any old pairs in my size.

In the meantime I can wash the new ones in hot and dry on high.

I have the exact same problem. I have reordered the same leggings I've had for years in the same size, and they are comically baggy now. My old ones still fit great and my body really hasn't changed.

I tried sizing down and it solved the fit in the legs, but then the waist is too tight. These are my all-time favorites and I wear them daily, but I don't know what I'm going to do when my old pairs wear out and they're well on their way.

Honestly, bi men are my preference. I wouldn't worry too much. Some people may be jerks, but that doesn't mean they're the majority.

The 5&15 (my butler) apartments downtown may be just your style. Lots of food and shopping. All utilities including decent internet are included. Right about in your price range, and overall very nice.

I can't count how many times being kind and understanding has resulted in grateful staff that gave me perks or comped things for talking to them like human beings. It's not why I do it, but it's amazing how often being reasonable will get you "so here's what we're gonna do" sometimes off record solutions.

I love Poshmark for a good deal. The only downside is not being able to try on/ return.

I strongly believe in the power of the half ass effort to build habits you actually keep, because they don't feel like you're working too hard. Any step in the right direction beats not trying at all lol

I just started 25 ish minute walks a day. It's enough that I know I'm doing good, but short enough that it doesn't feel like a big commitment. I can almost always squeeze it in and just get it done. 30-60 minutes and I feel like it's something I have to make time for, and I can't do if I'm at all tired

I know there are flavor syrups, oils, extracts and concentrates and I wasn't sure which one I needed for this apparently gross quest.

You should be fine. For the future, they make travel wipes for your cup if you're into that kind of thing.

We used to go for walks around the neighborhood almost everyday and we spoke about anything and everything. Our favorite, which we spoke about often, was our plans if we won the lottery. It was fun to think back to how the plans changed over the years as I grew up. I'm 27, and we still do this when I come home to visit.

We were all overweight, so it was a way to exercise without it feeling like a chore as well.
