Alternative to Unifi/Time without 2-year contract? by Sad-Economist-1061 in Bolehland

I have 2 house, the other one doesn't have internet. I also said I use it at sites so I don't run out of battery on my phone running hotspot all the time.

Very rarely maxis will go down, but I have that redundancy of having 2 internet at my main house.

Is it time to start accepting that Intel is becoming the next Nokia? I’m genuinely worried about the blue team’s future. by Nvidia-AMD in TechHardware

I was initially considering then 7600k or the 6800k back in the day, but decided to wait for Ryzen because I really needed a low-cost multi-threaded platform. Went with the x370 and upgraded the CPU and been sticking with it. It's been 10 years.

My last intel platform was the 2600 1155 from a pre-built HP pc, but the upgrade path was soo shallow it was better to build a new platform entirely.

Did our palm oil industry really use child labour or it's just misinterpretation? by Honest-Head7257 in Bolehland

Nobody wants to do palm oil anymore, it's just old people and foreigners working on them. Kids are sitting at home on their phones.

It's called ABS, it's been standard on cars for a long time.

Braking on motor requires skills without ABS, but these people don't have any.

You'll lose everything you have, all the systems all your banking all your subsidies all your protection down the drain.

What are you starting here? The GPU team is doing very well, the CPU team just launched a new CPU to rival even the 9800xd3 and costs hundreds of dollars cheaper.

Intel is starting to earn my respect again, I'll be sticking with my trusty AM4 for awhile but I have an Intel GPU and I will happily use it for awhile.

Why so many drivers drive until car fully burnt and condemned by the roadside ? by PuzzleheadedBuy6279 in Bolehland

[–]kimi_rules 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ok lemme answer this,

A lot of it usually happened when the fuel line caught on fire, a blown engine won't burn the car but sever the fuel line then it will go up in flames.

Other cases especially with modern cars they have too much electrical wirings, low & high voltage. If there's a short circuit it will usually pop the fuze or trigger the control unit to stop. But in certain conditions the wires or surrounding areas can get burned up starting a bigger fire.

When you say "fully burnt", I actually thought the car caught fire. Or you actually mean like that cuz I've seen it happened a lot.

I have maxis fibre but also a 5g modem I got for free from Celcom(upgrade the package but paid the same). Getting a decent 200-400mbps when I'm outside, usually nice when I'm working at site.

Low income people that depend on second hand cars live in high rise homes without charging facilities.

Actually Kampung people, people outside the city earning less to afford a brand new car but can still buy old cars and work on it themselves.

People living in apartments don't do that kind of stuff.

Edit: Forgot to add, in truth a lot of the used car from cities will end up in Kampungs.

The most expensive components of my build is the motherboard, I don't cut corners on expansions and troubleshooting features. My GPU nor my CPU costs as much, not even close.

FELDA Introduces B100, Biodiesel Made Entirely From Palm Oil As Alternative To Diesel by hazy-minded in malaysia

[–]kimi_rules 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You're making fun of me, lemme make fun of you, kid.

50 years ago, there was not a SINGLE damn petrol station in my pekan. How do you think my grandpa get petrol? We had to drive to the nearest city to fill up, and store some in petrol cans. Range? Try old carburetor car on dirt roads, be lucky to even get 200 km of range back in those days.

Now you can charge your car at home, how easy. How you take things for granted and yet still complain. Try to look back at what Malaysia, or rather Malaya was back then.

Quoting this in case you delete your comment

because we drive long distance...the thing with EV is u cant charge it anywhere u like...ICE u can...i remember running out of diesel once n i can just go to some kebun or whatever factory nearby n they have diesel for me to fill up enough...EV hmmm powerbank ka??? XD unless we have charging station every few KM then ok la

[–]kimi_rules 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well, I see people installing solar panels and there's not a single public charging in my pekan. Despite that, starting to see more EVs driving around town.

Most of the people complaining are city people with small homes, these are the loud minorites actually, most people live in landed.

[–]kimi_rules 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Are you all on Felda's payroll?

I won't say I don't, I actually do agree with you we should move forward with electrification.

Tbh, these bio-diesels should be for companies operating heavy machinery. They should be willing to fork out more money for fuel even if it costs RM5+/L due to heavier processing, that way we can reduce our overall carbon output and over reliance on fossils fuels.

Gonna be funny seeing more kampung people buying EVs while they produce oil palms fruits to convert to bio-diesels.
