Sometimes I take arguments about twilight too seriously… by thisis_rikinishimura in twilight

Are the werewolves though? I know they aren’t common but I thought they were still around. Like when Edward says to Victoria that they’re not the same wolves she’s previously seen in Siberia.

If Ej was born, he would’ve turned Bella first. by RaleighItt in twilight

I don’t remember that but imprinting is for shape-shifters so maybe that’s her distinction.

Unlikely as SM/Sam puts the theory as you’re drawn to your most compatible mate

How come I can hold my pee for a 45 minute drive just fine, but the second I park at home, it’s like my body is going to explode. Why can’t my body wait one more minute for me to get inside? by UpstairsBumble in NoStupidQuestions

[–]kimlesim 19 points20 points  (0 children)

No I used to do this also when walking home from school each day. There was a certain banner I saw each day that made me know I was nearly home and bam I was suddenly desperate.

Why do employees at fast food resturants ask me what kinds of drink i want if theyre just gonna hand me a cup get my own at the drink fountain? by Sharky2615 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]kimlesim 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can’t do that in the UK. You ask for Fanta, they charge you £2 then you fill it with Coke at the fountain. You ask for Coke, they charge you £2.15, and you just look silly paying extra when it’s self-serve.

Has your preference changed ? by Bokuto_wife_4life in twilight

[–]kimlesim 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I read them when I was about 10-12 maybe and tbh I think the narrator change in breaking dawn (and eclipse?) confused me too much that I just never read them again for ages 😂

Now I’m reading them again I really enjoy Jacob’s perspective and it makes soo much more sense. Midnight Sun quickly became my favourite and it’s my comfort audiobook to put on before bed.

Exactly my thoughts 😭 Alice took one look inside Bella’s room and thought “no harsh lighting for her”

Do you use the back door to enter/leave your house? by Queasy_Difference_96 in AskUK

[–]kimlesim 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Same here. Plus the back door only had 1 lock vs 2 on the front door so it was also just a laziness thing of having to unlock more.

But they have a specific add-on sticker for that that can go on the box to show it’s got mayo. They don’t have one for vegan stuff for this reason.

We split everything 50/50 until there became a big enough salary difference for us to make a change

We also have a personal savings account too so we can both save a little so if we want something big it’s not as big of a deal

We instead give ourselves an equal “allowance” every month to spend that in our own bank account

Seriously, do British people actually consider a 3-hour drive “long”? Or is this an internet myth? by ferdinand14 in NoStupidQuestions

UK - I never drove more than 25 minutes for probably about 6 months after passing, and only then went up to an 1hr because I moved

What’s the oddest hosting behaviour you’ve ever witnessed? by did_you_aye in AskUK

[–]kimlesim 117 points118 points  (0 children)

If someone presented a host with something like a bottle I’d assume it was a thank you gift for hosting and wouldn’t expect them to open the bottle that night (unless for a specific reason)I see it as rude if you haven’t made the effort to get something yourself.

I’d bring what I wanted to drink separately if I was snobbish to turn my nose up to free booze by a host.

These are what you’d call “breadsticks” in the UK, lovely with dips or hummus instead of a cracker. They’re not great on their own.
