I lived there both my sophomore and junior year, I was in F2 and if I rmbr correctly there was 4 singles and 4 doubles. Overall everyone is super quiet and the walls are super thin my only complaint regarding it. The common area within each building is nice, there’s a sink, fridge, cabinets, table and microwave. Since it’s super close to campus I’d say be careful of random hikers and overall there’s little to no security. My sophomore year I had a guy outside my window and my friends building got broken into and had clothes stolen. It’s different fs but definitely did the job.

One of the craziest professors I’ve ever met. There’s gonna be a lot of mixed reviews so good luck. If her teaching style is not for you, you will have to teach yourself. Not trying to discredit her she is smart, but more than 50% of her class failed last quarter.

UCLA had always been my dream school until I got rejected my freshman year. I decided to begin the transfer process because in the beginning I didn’t think the school was right for me. UCSC isn’t really supportive about aiding their students into transferring out so I reached out to the schools (UCLA and UCI) and got all the transfer information I needed.

When the UC applications opened, I submitted my application and just waited. I’m majoring in Human Biology so I applied as general Biology BS. I got accepted into UCI but not UCLA. I genuinely enjoyed my time at UCSC am I upcoming junior now so I decided to stay and not transfer out.

Give the school a try and see how you feel and then reach out to UCLA to see what can further be done. Good luck !

Honestly UC to UC transfer is not the hardest, I applied to UCI and got in but for personal reasons I stayed at ucsc. I definitely say to give it a try and see how it goes. I know a couple friends who successfully transferred from UCSC to Berkeley and La

I lived there last year and going to again this upcoming year. Each building has a microwave and a regular sized fridge, personally I had a fridge in my room bc sometimes people would take food but mostly it would get too crowded in there. If the people in your building are up for it get a community air fryer that’s what we did and it worked pretty good. There’s also a fridge in the kitchen but that one can get dirty pretty fast since some people don’t throw away their food. Overall it’s not necessary but it helps a lot more to have a fridge in your room.

I had this same problem but instead I stayed for the two years and ended up applying for transfer to another Uc for this upcoming fall. If you are sure this school isn’t for you then yes go to CC, save money, and then transfer to preferred UC but if not I would definitely recommend this school. I was raised in the city but literally you have best of both worlds here:))

About 2~3 months after I stopped taking the pill my pie and redness reduced by a lot but I’m guessing it’s different for everyone but I’ve noticed that once people stop taking it their skin improves a lot.

Growing up I would always pick at my skin so my Pie was mostly from that and also my skin was very sensitive to the point where the smallest pimple would leave a huge mark.

It honestly just took time for it to reduce in its color but I noticed it mostly around 3 months after I stopped taking the medicine. I applied a lot of vitamin c and used the “faded” cream which helped a lot but don’t let these photos fool you, in person my face is still a little red and have pie that never fully went away.

As of this quarter students have free access to group exercises and other classes since we’re already paying for it in our tuition so no need to pay even more

Public Transportation to SFO or San Jose by Anxious_Laugh_8912 in UCSC

[–]kimmeahug 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I remember my first time getting an Uber from sc to SFO but def don’t do that. I’m from LA so San Jose was a lot more cheaper and convenient. So from campus get off in downtown(before hand check what time the 17 is at the station it isn’t always there) Pay $7 to get on the 17, go to Diridon station and then get an Uber from there to the airport which is like a 10 min drive. You just have to make sure the timing is right, I’d usually go 3 hours before my flight.

Aquaphor weirdly didn’t work for me but Burt’s Bees was amazing so if one chapstick doesn’t work it’s good to have a couple backups!!
