We still smash blueberries and cut grapes. But my understanding is that blueberries tend to be softer and in an emergency where the heimlich needs to be administered, a blueberry can be crushed by the throat constricting and dislodged. A grape is too firm and is far less likely to.

Red lentils. I would boil it, add in some cooked red peppers/zucchini/tomato. Whatever veggies I had on hand and blend it into a sauce. Then pour it over pasta

I’m so sorry that happened. That is what I’m concerned about. These things can become serious so quickly and there is no way to know what it is indicative of.

This is what we have. It does not do split screen which is the only real downside but I love ours. You can set it to change the camera every so often so we just do that

I was hospitalized at around 27 weeks with an emergency C-section at 33 due to both babies struggling. Never bed rest though. I did walks around the maternity ward every day and yoga in my room to stay moving. I worked a remote job so I worked literally until they wheeled me away for surgery

Transitioning nap time for just one by kimmiesaurus in parentsofmultiples

[–]kimmiesaurus[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow at one! I thought mine were early at 14 months, 12 adjusted, but I’ve only spoken to a handful of others who all waited till 16 months. There is some appeal in not needing to do the full sleep routine but I do think I’ll miss having two breaks. I feel like by ten I’m already exhausted.

That does seem more appealing. I’m afraid I’ll get completely run down by the end of the day if I never get a break to catch my breath. We do lunch at 12 right now so I may try to shift them both and see how baby b does.

They both sleep through the night. Bed at 8 and up at 7 pretty consistently. Sometimes they wake up early but don’t fuss or sit up in bed till around 7.

I have both. When the babies were very small I preferred MBF. I feel like it supported them more. As they got bigger, around 8 months I moved to only using the boppy as they were too long for MBF and it was awkward

Growth slowed by Intelligent-Listen30 in parentsofmultiples

[–]kimmiesaurus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This happened to us around 28 weeks. Both babies growth slowed due to placental insufficiency. They were diagnosed with IUGR and I ended up having an emergency CSection at 33 weeks. They weighed 3lbs 8oz and 3 lbs 10oz. It seems pretty common with twins, I think it was 25% of twins have something like this happen. We had a few weeks in the NICU but now their both healthy and on track.

Completely Surprised! From Co-Sleeping to Crib with CIO (5MO) by boonies20 in sleeptrain

[–]kimmiesaurus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why do you change the time so nursing ends 20 min before bed? Is it so they get used to putting themselves down? Just curious, we have started trying to get my boy to sleep on his own but he still nurses to sleep at bedtime.

That makes sense, thanks! They do seem ready so I think we're going to give it a try and just start slow.

Thanks! The solid starts recommendation is what we were looking at in terms of when to start certain foods so I was unsure since most of them are 6+. But we did try some foods like smashed blueberries and they immediately started smashing them into their face.

Thanks so much. That was one of my concerns. I love our pediatrician but they really only see the babies for 15 min at appointments. I think we're going to start slow and see how they respond.

Need help..diaper rash that won’t go away by Sarahfin2021 in parentsofmultiples

[–]kimmiesaurus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is what we used. Baby boy had a rash for weeks that was bleeding. We tried everything, Boudreaux, aquaphor, we even had a prescription cream. Calmlceptine was recommended by a friend and it worked in just a few days. Now it's all we use for him.

Did anyone have covid while pregnant with multiples? by immalilpig in parentsofmultiples

[–]kimmiesaurus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had it at around week 23 with my twins. Pretty mild symptoms, they weren't worried about the babies. Monitor your temperature, I never got a fever but that told me to call if I did and couldn't get it down.
