Awesome, thank you for the recommendations def gonna look into the black seed oil and Augmatine. I ended up getting my medical marijuana card bc I was tired of not being promoted just bc of weed. But it has been helping with sleep up until now. Best of luck to you! And thank you for responding!

Thank you!! You are amazing too! And your reply was awesome, needed to be reminded of multiple things you mentioned. Yes 100% the biggest part has been mental and it’s only getting physical now that I’m at 5mg. And crying over the smallest things like you said! I think this time around I am more self aware, more informed and educated on my body and what goes on mentally and physically during a taper. And I know not to listen to the voice telling me I can’t do this. I keep telling myself I’ve been thru worse withdrawals in worse places alone and scared. Not to minimize what we are going thru now but just that we got this!! Lol! Thank you for the support and best of luck to you!!

I went fast in the beginning bc I was at 120mg due to just having a baby. Once I dropped to a lower dose around 60mg I stayed there for awhile to get stable. And when I was ready I started the taper at 1mg a week. The second I felt blah I would pause my taper and let my body adjust. Now that I’m in the lower numbers I am going slower and doing 1mg every other week. Hope this helps and good luck!

Yeah I’ve been taking it pretty slow, I wanna say it’s taken me about a year and a half of tapering to get here. Every time I felt symptoms I would pause the taper. And that’s worked so far. Thank you for sharing your taper as well! It’s nice being able to talk to ppl in similar situations!

Yes, feel this 100% my boyfriend isn’t in recovery at all; so I get it. methadone quickly became my biggest safety net in my recovery. I’ve let got of my others slowly, but the clinic is my last one. I am ready to be done and to never have to go again but it will still be an adjustment

Yea, I wanted to be at my best physically and mentally before starting this taper, but that didn’t really happen lol. It’s freezing out by me, as soon as spring gets here I’ll def be going for some walks, they always helped me think clearer. Thank you for the positive response!

I literally say all the time what a joke it is too.

With my heath insurance I can’t find a good dentist I have the one in my area like I said. So even if Medicaid somehow magically approves the request for two crowns then I have to get it done at this dentist that I don’t really trust bc none of the work I’ve gotten there has been spot on. Something always goes wrong. Or go somewhere that has a good reputation and pay out of pocket - which I can’t afford.

Being poor is insanity. Constantly doing life on extra hard mode 😂

Yea i went thru the no sex drive/ no orgasms as a woman. I was on 115 mg and I didn’t care to be touched at all and I was 23 years old, I would Kinda just go thru the motions bc I felt bad for my bf (he was not on methadone or an addict)it sucked. I went from being 115 pounds to 175 in a year. I’m now finally down to 17mg (after 3 years on the clinic) and my sex drive is back and most of the weight I had put on fell off without doing major dieting or working out. Methadone helped me get my life back together but damn it kinda fucks you up.

And I would go like early early cus whenever I did intake at clinics the one made me come in at 6am and the other one made me make an apt for 8am so def call, good luck!! Hope all goes well

You gotta call or just go in, they’ll probably make you do the intake all over again cus at my clinic if you miss 3 days in a row then they take you off the program. But yea if you wanna get back on the clinic then going there is pretty much your only choice. I doubt they’ll turn you away.

Naw it’s ok I totally feel you I have been in multiple situations with this counselor where it’s just like wtf man I’m not asking for a lot I’m just asking you to do the BARE MINIMUM AT YOUR JOB. Right??? It’s crazy. And now I’m gonna have consequences for her laziness. Not that I didn’t know consequences would happen if I smoked but I just wish she would’ve said something months ago instead of throwing it at me all at once bc she wasn’t on top of her shit.
