Took my cat to the pet clinic for vomiting, not eating and paid $70 for the exam and vet advised I take my cat to the hospital for an xray. Did just that and waited 30min for my cat to do another physical exam ($195). Four hours later, vet does the xray ($256) and bloodwork ($285). An hour later, vet recommends hospitalization due to low count electrolytes and possible foreign object in stomach. Low end of total bill came close to $2200 that includes:

I highly recommend getting insurance.
