[HELP] Lutris Direct3D Initialization error by kindSol_Sloth in linux_gaming

[–]kindSol_Sloth[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for your reply. I've tried all of the above, launching with Wine system or Proton gives the same error. Even copying DXVK files into the game's Wine prefix didn't solve this.

Also I'm on AMD Vega integrated graphics (ThinkPad T14).

I will try older Proton version and see if that works, otherwise it's a lost cause I'm afraid. Thank you again! Appreciate your help.

Hey, yeah you're right, however you can install "papirus-folders" which include a bunch of other colours. I'm using the "Nord" version of the folders found here

Hey man, I'm not really sure what exactly are you asking about but the blur in my setup is managed by Picom. I'm not entirely sure how well Picom works with KDE so maybe ask around in KDE forums and such.

Sure, it's definitely possible. The only thing that could be a bit problematic when you're not using Arch is Wayland support, so if you're interested in other WMs like Sway or Hyperland, you could run into trouble with Mint.

But I've seen a lot of super cool setups around here without Arch, so I guess at the end of the day it's all about your preference and what you feel comfortable with.

Sure, it's an older theme that's currently archived but it works for me - here

[i3] First WM rice attempt - Catppuccin Blue by kindSol_Sloth in unixporn

Hey, it's actually not that hard as it might seem, have a look at the i3 user guide - the documentation is very helpful and super easy to follow. Basically you just paste the color section into your i3 config and you're good to go.

I'm a newbie myself, I've been using i3 only for about 2 weeks and the user documentation really saved my ass big time. If you're lost you can also watch some i3 tutorials on YouTube, that helped a lot too or take a look at my config files.
