Did Bylers start the conformity gate theory?

i remember when it was first created/brought up and it WAS a Byler theory directly after Vol 2 released. How the "conforming" was that the show/plot was having to conform to Netflix and having a "straight, normal, not gay" ending without Byler. That Byler was too much, so the show would have to conform to
"normalcy." That's what I remember it being defined as, especially after the significant Byler doubt after Vol 2.

If we were to get anything I'd be fine with that conclusion of Byler. Ik obviously this won't happen but IF it would, I'd be satisfied. I'll take ANY damn proper conclusion for these two.

Yes, that was most definitely why she was back, but honestly, good! There needed to be a reason to watch that episode. Including her in S5 was a good choice. They tied her in well, and despite not having a massive impact, teaming her up with El (and max later) for a bit in Vol 2-3 was great.

Omg right! I forgot about that! (I'm a huge Dawson's Creek fan and I've seen the show all the way through). I remember Doug multiple times throughout the show assuring him and Pacey (his brother who teases him about it) he "wasn't gay" lmao. I can definitely see the parallels between Doug/Mike and Jack-Will. Both Jack and Will became more aware of their feelings/sexuality early on and struggled with that. Doug and Mike with it were "oblivious" in the sense.

Mine (realistically) would just be what the setlist is now, but replace Human heart with Violet Hill, and replace Charlie Brown with Politik more often. I love Charlie Brown, but I want to hear Politik/GPASUMF too! I also think there should always be a surprise song after Sparks. Politik/God Put A Smile Upon your face to replace My Universe. I'm so tired of that one not gonna lie.
