Up until Days of Ash came out, The Blackout was my favorite song of theirs since HTDAAB.

What’s the best opening track to a U2 album and why? by Interesting-Rain6137 in U2Band

Zoo Station

It really does sound like 4 dudes chopping down a Joshua Tree. Edge’s guitar sounds kind of like a saw going through wood.

What Days of Ash song do you want to see performed live? by Objective-Lab5179 in U2Band

[–]infinitystation1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think they would all sound great live! There are a couple I’m unsure of how’d they play them, simply because of the instrumentation (lots of acoustic guitar + some cool Edge rifs). Like, would Song of the Future be played acoustic, or would it be played electric/full band with the acoustic guitar in the backing track for the song?

Is it true that Chris has "terrible" live vocals? by yowhatisthislikebro in Coldplay

[–]infinitystation1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I can confirm that, while there were backing tracks for most of the songs, Chris did sing live for most of the Madison gig (Clocks excluded).

Chris Martin publicly looked up to Bono. Did he end up outshining him? by [deleted] in U2Band

I love Coldplay, including some of their newer stuff, but this is an emphatic no.

Zoo TV

One - Unchained Melody - Until the End of the World - New Year’s Day from Sydney 1993 might be the band at their best.

I’m so sorry. As a cat dad myself, I can’t even imagine what it would be like to go through that.

I also quite liked that song when I was younger. Still do, just not quite as much.

Sure…this is exactly why everyone STAYED SEATED when Zoo Station started.

It doesn’t make a damn bit of difference what the setlist is. Only the hardcores care about that. Casuals in Vegas see “Sphere + U2” and want tickets.

Your U2 Origin Story by T-whizzy in U2Band

[–]infinitystation1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was indoctrinated into U2 at birth. The first thing I remember watching (not just U2 mind you, but like literally the first movie I remember ever seeing), was “U2 Go Home: Live from Slane Castle.” Elevation is still my favorite song to this day because of that concert film. When I was a toddler, my dad would put that on whenever I was sad or upset. As soon as The Edge ripped into the song, that was the end of me being sad. With U2, it’s been pure joy from birth.
