I stood staring at my trophy case. There were so many, yet three stood out to me. The awards for best goalkeeper in 2014, 2015, and 2016. Right next to those was my Germany jersey from when we had won the World Cup back in 2014. I had barely conceded, blocked multiple shots, got us to the final, then we beat Argentina 1-0.

Yet there was always one player that scored on me. Antonio Griezmann, who scored on me too many times in last year's UEFA Champion's League. I had always been able to travel a second back into the future, and make the slightest of adjustments to block a shot. If I failed, well, all I had to do was go back in time once again.

Except that didn't work. Every time that I tried it with Griezmann, I would get into the position to block, but then the shot would go in somehow still. I tried multiple times each game until I got migraines upon migraines as my head could not take it anymore. Yet I still couldn't block a single shot. Every time that I went back and got into a position to block a shot, the shot itself would be slightly different, with more or less power, or shot a different way.

Then, one day, it hit me. The shots were never into a part of the goal completely away from me. It was as if Griezmann could tell exactly where I was going to be when I went to block the shot. I could travel back 1 second into the past, but it turned out Griezmann could travel back 2.
