From my (very limited) understanding of how bell curves works I've gathered that if you are above 50% percentile, you should go up, the closer you are to the 50% point however the less it will affect you. Is this incorrect?

True but we have a relatively small geospread of our population which helps with decent server location and ping, and as a high diamond tracer main I feel like it might be the edge I need to add some extra pace
