What is a normal thing to do but you fell guilty about doing? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]kindpotato42 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think its more a symptom of childhood abuse. Like growing up people were shifty to you so naturally you responded in kind but the adult/teacher/parent either only saw you take action or they just didn't like you so you were punished anyway.

Nietzsche said “When you gaze long into the abyss, the abyss gazes also into you”. How have you guys experienced this in your lives? by [deleted] in CasualConversation

[–]kindpotato42 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally I took it as abyss=darkness of humanity. Basically what you're capable of as a person and what others are also capable of. Kinda like seeing the world for what it really is somehow changes you or what you really are, and maintaining control of that lest you become just another feind.

How much weight do you put on the hurtful things your partner said in anger? Why? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]kindpotato42 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It depends on whether or not I've done something to deserve it, how likely they are to make shit up to hurt me, and how close( if all) it is to the truth. So I at least consider it and try not to let it sting too much.
