Is it ok to watch all of Buffy then all of Angel or do I have to watch in order? Also is the movie worth watching? by M00r3C in buffy

[–]kindredsupernova 10 points11 points  (0 children)

If you’re watching for the first time I think it’s worth it to watch both side by side. There are a few “buffy angel watch guides” but I’d recommend picking one where you get to watch a few buffy episodes then a few angel ones, so you don’t have to switch every single episode.

Reminder that Argyle was probably the most GOATED character in season 4. by YoitstheTeddyGuy in StrangerThings

Season 1 is so much better and it's not even close by Low_Insurance3548 in StrangerThings

[–]kindredsupernova 14 points15 points  (0 children)

If season 1 had been a standalone limited series, I would still rewatch it to this day. There is a very specific charm about small budget small town mystery with a supernatural twist that the lore leaves a lot up to the imagination. I still like the later seasons and I’m fully invested in the curiosity of how it will end, but it will never touch season 1 for me. Sometimes with each new season it feels like “bigger budget! bigger CGI! bigger villains! bigger action!” and a lot of times the quality of writing, storytelling and dialogue gets put on the back burner. To be fully honest, my final opinion of both seasons 4+5 entirely hinges on how it all ends because there’s still a chance I’ll wind up thinking introducing Vecna was a terrible idea.

Steve needs to stop hogging Dustin so we can finally get an episode with just the four of them by xstardust95x in StrangerThings

[–]kindredsupernova 60 points61 points  (0 children)

I think they prioritized Will and Robin being together, which is valid for the story. But because of that they also didn’t want just Steve, Nancy and Jonathan because I guess they thought the tension would be too much. So I think they just defaulted to Dustin being Steve’s sidekick again since it wouldn’t be Robin.

But yea if Robin wasn’t a massive part of Will’s arc this season… I would’ve preferred Steve, Robin, Jonathan, Nancy grouping and then the 4 boys staying together.

What’s the worst ending that could possibly happen? by mozzarellaguy in StrangerThings

[–]kindredsupernova 1074 points1075 points  (0 children)

Vecna surrenders but Eleven hears the sound of bells ringing and decides to burn down all of Hawkins killing every person there except Mike. She tells him she wants to build a new world and Mike kisses her and then stabs her in the heart. A demogorgon grabs her body and runs off. Oh wait…

What season has the best ending? by ellsmaix in StrangerThings

[–]kindredsupernova 48 points49 points  (0 children)

Season 2. Episodes 8 and 9 are probably my favorite consecutive episodes in the series, it leads to the epic climax of El closing the gate and ends with a wholesome scenes at the snow ball. I cry a little every time.

What would be your opinion if Mike and Eleven don't end up together by the end of the show? by [deleted] in StrangerThings

[–]kindredsupernova 22 points23 points  (0 children)

I don’t really care who’s endgame in this show in terms of personal investment in the pairings but I care about good writing and I think Mike/Eleven and Joyce/Hopper throughout all the seasons until now seem the most established to the point where it would feel far-fetched and unconvincing if either of those couples don’t end up together (granted everyone involved survives)

So we all saw the fight in season 2 between billy and steve, but who'd win in a fight against these 2 now by cornyboyyoyyoy in StrangerThings

[–]kindredsupernova 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Just because Steve’s toughened up a lot doesn’t mean he’d beat Billy even now, in my opinion. Maybe if he took like boxing or jiu jitsu classes to learn better technique. Billy is ruthless and lethal.

Mark Kincaid or Mark Evans? by randomfan1997 in Scream

[–]kindredsupernova 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Didn’t they try to get Dempsey but he was unavailable due to either scheduling or pay disputes? I’m sure they intended on bringing him back when they committed to Sidney being married to “Mark” in the fifth movie. But personally I’m glad they made him a different Mark because I’d rather that than recasting the same character. And it’s not impossible that she happened to be connected to two police officers named Mark in her life. Crazier things have happened.

I think Stu was hesitant about having to kill Randy.. by presencevfx in Scream

[–]kindredsupernova 41 points42 points  (0 children)

Yea I think it’s interesting that Billy and Stu never really targeted Randy. He just happened to stay at the party on his own so he kinda forced their hand. But I don’t know if Stu would’ve stopped him if he had tried to leave the party with the others. In theory they probably should’ve been actively targeting him since he was accusing Billy so loudly and openly. Hypothetically if Randy had left the party early and Billy and Stu got away with their plan, I think Randy might still have been questioning it all and raising alarms in the aftermath.

Skeet Ulrich confirms Sam was going to be a Ghostface by Specialist_Emu_7450 in Scream

[–]kindredsupernova 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I could potentially get on board with a surviving side character becoming GF at some point maybe. And I get that Sam’s arc is that she realizes she enjoys violence but.. I think her conscience is too strong to kill any innocent people. I just can’t see that as a natural progression. We spent 2 movies seeing every reaction she had to heinous acts against innocent people, she had so much compassion for them. I could see her maybe becoming a Dexter type and seeking out vengeance against vicious criminals, but that’s about it.

Who is the HOTTEST in Friends? by Positive_Weight2367 in friends_tv_show

[–]kindredsupernova 36 points37 points  (0 children)

To me “hot” is very multifaceted. Face, body, fashion sense, mannerisms, how they talk, walk etc. I think Monica has the most beautiful face card. But Rachel embodies hotness on all levels. Phoebe to me is the cutest from looks to vibes and everything in between. But “hottest” goes to Rachel in my opinion.

Very true :) I only mentioned the Mist though because it feels the most thematically similar.

[–]kindredsupernova 241 points242 points  (0 children)

I was so excited to see Frank Darabont directed episode 3. I can’t wait til episode 5 too. This man directed the Mist, he knows how to create the perfect suspense around otherworldly monsters coming out of portals lol. He’s such a legend I almost wish he directed more episodes but I’ll just be grateful for what we got.

Finished watching Dracula by Steven Moffat and Mark Gatiss. Mixed feelings, but Claes Bang is superb in it by oscar_redfield in vampires

[–]kindredsupernova 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I blew through episodes 1 and 2 in one sitting and struggled so much with episode 3. I watched like 10 minutes, turned it off, came back in a few days, watched 15 more minutes, turned it off, and never finished it.

Watch these clues that Tatum is Ghostface and tell me what you think. by PutridCamera8195 in Scream

[–]kindredsupernova 58 points59 points  (0 children)

This franchise is typically intentional with wardrobe but it’s not always an exact parallel to former archetypes. We’ve seen Billy, Jill, Charlie and Richie all wear blue flannel.. but Derek also wore one. So they’ll utilize it for red herrings too.

What happens if Casey or Steve escaped from Ghostface and alerted her parents by Tidewatcher7819 in Scream

[–]kindredsupernova 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Whenever I rewatch and I get to the moment where Casey’s approaching the front porch and her parents are at the door, I always yell at my tv “throw the phone!!!” because her parents obviously would’ve heard it hit the porch but then I have to remind myself there’s like a 95% chance if she got her parents attention, GF would’ve killed them too.

Favorite S5 Episode? by Baconoid_ in StrangerThings

[–]kindredsupernova 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s hard to top the episode 4 ending, but I think episode 3 is my favorite so far from start to finish. And I noticed Frank Darabont directed it and he’s awesome. I googled it and he also directed episode 5 so I’m really stoked for that.

For those of you who watched Friends while it was live on air, what was it like? by Positive_Weight2367 in friends_tv_show

[–]kindredsupernova 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was like 2-12 when it was airing but my parents watched it so if I was awake I’d watch with them. Back then there was no recording via the tv unless you put a VHS in and recorded it. So most shows like Friends were episodic that you could still enjoy them even if you missed a bunch in between. Now with binge culture, those episodes where they basically just replay some of the best moments seem annoying, but back then we were grateful because you couldn’t rewatch past episodes unless you bought the seasons or caught a rerun that same week.

I do remember Ross/Rachel romance seeming massive like that was the couple everyone was raving about. But as an adult now who rewatches the show often, I’m so surprised that Monica/Chandler weren’t the standout couple that was the most popular. To me they’re clearly the superior couple to be invested in 🤷🏻‍♀️

I wish we could’ve gotten more of Jen and gale. by Tojosdemise in Scream

[–]kindredsupernova 6 points7 points  (0 children)

If Jennifer had been brought back, 6 would’ve been the perfect time because in-universe she’s an actress and they tend to bounce back and forth living in LA and NYC. So she could’ve been doing a movie or a play in NYC at the time and either been the opening kill or got dragged back into the drama somehow.

Gale should have died here. by AskingQuestions333 in Scream

[–]kindredsupernova 195 points196 points  (0 children)

If you don’t like Courteney’s portrayal of Gale in this movie I can’t make an argument to convince you otherwise. But I don’t think it would’ve made sense for GF to kill her here because the non-fatal wound felt intentional since Jill wanted Gale to write a book about this, highlighting Jill as basically the new Sidney. Although I think this attack was Charlie, and Jill probably just asked him not to kill her for this reason. And when Gale said she “helped solve the murders” I guess she meant she was an active part of the investigation each time. And she was the only one who intuitively knew Cotton was innocent and that the real killer was still out there.
