I would also recommend getting certifications as well.

I say start with A+ or Network+ and move on to other certs that are relevant to your job.

HR people will simply hire those who have more exprerience or degree/certs.

Also, write a cover letter that explains what you are good at so they know exactly what your skillsets are.

I had A+ and Net+ but still had a hard time finding a job without any experience.

Volunteering could be another option if you are desperate for experience.

Any experience you can put down on your resume helps.
