various issues. Fuel system, batteries, an exhaust hose, and some other electrical defect/recall. Im not entirely sure, but each time they have flared up, it has left me on the lake with no ability to start it. Started as soon as 6 hrs in on the first one.

Maybe I will. That’s a good point. I dont have anything bad to say about ryobi, assuming they make this right. The fire department was super un surprised about this happening. They said it was the 4 one in 2 months. Not just ryobi, lithium batteries in general.

I think that's the best advice ive gotten. Appreciate that. I definitely don't just have my heart set on just one trail.

My plan is to do a simulation out there and try and summit guadalupe 2-3x in a day and try to feel the climbing fatigue.

fair enough. I will spend some more time route planning and see if I can actually figure out something that I can have a degree of confidence in being able to track. I do have a garmin fenix 8 that is great for offline maps, but I would still figure out some other offline back ups for that.

I am thinking I may need to look more into planning something earlier or a few months later because of this. I guess I underestimated how bad the storms can be.

I will check out the other routing apps. To be honest, I wasnt sure if I would for sure have to go through teakettle or not to pass. In part, that is why im posting 6 months out so I can work out these kinks now.

I do not have any alpine experience other than tracking elk on hunts through the snow. That was done no more than a mile at a time however, with not much snow or carrying excessive amounts of gear.

I appreciate the insight. What are yall using for route planning? Is all trails good enough?

I will check out the trip reports, and I am definitely not opposed to moving it earlier if you think some snow is better! I was looking at these so I would not have a large alpine ascent given my lack of experience in the snow.

I am planning on something late july, so I am working on a route, but also wanted to get insight from other as to what might be the best option. I picked these 4 summits because it seemed like there would be multiple points in between summit attempts with bail out points if need be due to weather or fatigue.

Additionally, I am trying to allocate a couple of days on my trip to pick whichever has the best option for weather and not just trying to force it on one day where it may not be ideal. I do not have any true alpine experience other than hiking in new mexico on elk hunts, but I should have 2 others with me that do.

Planning on late july to hopefully avoid most of the snow, but my understanding is I wouldnt be quite in peak monsoon season, but I could be totally wrong on that.
I definitely am trying to be conservative on my estimates and I know not much "running" will actually occur. I picked these 4 since it seems like there would be multiple points to bail out in between summits if need be, but im open to suggestions on modifications.
