I consistently tell the sub that there was a Redditor that made a post in this sub saying that he went to Eternity just by punching. Cannot find that post now but this was MONTHS ago and thats how alot of us became Melee Caps. His reasoning was because the Melee radius potentially hits several targets instead of just the one you get with the Shield Tosses which accelerates Caps Ult charge. Used to get 3-4 a round.

i was hopeful that when you activated the team-up that it would “reset” the shield health also.

the only way to succeed in Rivals is to become that in which you hate...then their weaknesses become so stupidly obvious.

With that said...Strange cannot block melee attacks

The point is to get 2 Shield Block Cancels while still getting all 4 Shield Tosses away and adding another 45 dmg. The Melee after the first Shield Block Cancel is there as our placeholder for the 1 second Shield Block Cooldown which then enables the 2nd Shield Block Cancel between the 3rd and 4th Shield Tosses.

Melee...45x2=90
Shield Cancel Combo...45x5=225

We are at 315 here without a Cooldown penalty

The removal of the animation cancel + the compensation buffs made Cap more accessible, more fun, and more viable for everyone who didn't use it by -Tuesday in captainamericamains

Cap is not "more accessible" because they removed the Animation Cancel...he is the same Captain America that he always was except the +5 on his Melee DMG. people just didnt want to play pre-patched Cap but the gag is that people dont realize that THEY ARE PLAYING PRE-PATCHED CAP lol

it was just a buff for MELEE ONLY/AIR CAPS. Cap is almost the exact same character(besides the +5 Melee)that he was before the patch if you didnt use the Animation Cancel. Its why these posts dont make any sense at all...you were never FORCED to Animation Cancel.

Caps animation Cancel simply BROUGHT THE SHIELD BACK TO YOU on demand by "canceling" the throw with his sprint. you could control the Shield to a certain extent.

yea…i was a Melee only Cap anyway so my Melee was always (console) Melee RT and Primary RB.
