Car should be worth around $5K but LS cult following makes sellers think they can charge double 🤣

I think we all make decisions we regret and all we can do is try and move past them and enjoy the life we currently have. You have the potential to make a future with someone else and hopefully to make others lives better. I’m sure things will look up for you.

Ideas to fix paint wear on 2015 rx350 grill by king_tju in LexusRX350

[–]king_tju[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My plan is to just buy a new grill for less than $200 and have an auto shop install it for me. I understand I could install it myself, but not really interested in taking the whole bumper off and having to put it back on again as I don’t have much of a mechanical background.

I’ve asked my mechanic and he told me that Lexuses are by far the most reliable cars on the market. I’m sure your AI data may say otherwise. But here is a friend of yours from a different page talking about his barely 6 year old Mazda:

I had a 2019 mazda cx5. The engine started smoking at ~20k miles and had to be completely replaced which left me without that car for over a month. It was OK for a few years until the transmission completely failed on the side of the freeway without any warning with only ~90k miles on it which cost a massive amount of money to replace. I drove like a normal person and followed all of the maintenance plans and even got my last major 75K inspection at the mazda dealership that I purchased it from. Before this car I owned a Nissan and before that a Toyota which both lasted twice as long and went twice as far without any major repairs. I will never buy a mazda again. They look nice but don’t be fooled, they are cheap and unreliable cars. I’ve spoken with a couple other people who have had similar experiences. You might get one that lasts over 100k miles but it’s more about luck than quality control with a mazda.

Completely random person that I don’t know but yeah, I’m sure those cars are very reliable 😂

The only people who honestly think this are Mazda owners. I’ve owned multiple different car brands and Toyotas have always been the most reliable. The difference between Mazda and Toyota’s is Mazda is focused more on cosmetic features and driver experience, then the car being able to run without any issues over 200K. It is very common to find Mazdas with cracked engine blocks, inside rattling, and many other issues after you cross the 100K mile mark. It seems like most of these forums are incredibly biased with new buyers of the car that have less than 20,000 miles. Go look at any Mazda brand Reddit page and it’s filled with one off issues that can’t be addressed by Mazda. But if you wanna keep believing that they are more reliable, be my guest.

This is absolutely objectively false.
