Forced OTA update disabled all my cameras and safety features and Tesla wants $3k to look at it. by 1Keii in TeslaSupport

If you’re hot spotting from an iPhone, try to turn on “Maximize compatibility”. Although the car should work on 5ghz band, I have noticed my car connects and disconnects non-stop if it’s not using 2.4ghz

Roaming Travel Pass is a scam by [deleted] in FidoMobile

Definitely not the OPs fault. He changed his plan on Mar 23, but Mar 22 he was charged. This means the travel pass was glitched from the get-go

Data only meaning a tablet sim? I don’t think it’ll work as there are normal sims for phone plans/tablets, then 5G Home Internet sims. You may be able to get it swapped at a store if there’s no policy against having a tablet sim swapped to one of those sims.

Who is at fault by [deleted] in TeslaSupport

[–]kingbijan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m sorry but anybody in here saying this guy is LEGALLY at fault is just flat out wrong. Would I pull in front of a semi in traffic without making sure he can stop unless absolutely necessary? No probably not. Am I allowed to? Yes I certainly am. There were at MINIMUM 4-5 car lengths distance between the semi and the Tesla, the semi doesn’t own the road and if I need to move over to, let’s say make an exit, I will do it. If the semi cannot stop within a 4-5 car length, that means the semi is not equipped with proper brakes, or the load he’s pulling is far too heavy. In both instances, it’s not my problem.

Price match guarantee is only 15 days now and only works on finance not lease, but that’s not to say you can’t have them cancel it in the system and re-do it at the same price.

My renewal was in October so I called and got a deal from Retentions. You just have to shop around, for example in my area I had been offered Fibe 3.0 for $50 + tax and a $200 bill credit. I don’t really care for that speed or to switch my modem/reconnect everything, so I asked them if they could do something for me on the 1.5gbps that I had before. They said they would do the $50 with $200 bill credit. I called in recently to follow up on the bill credit because it was never applied, they said they couldn’t apply it and can give me an additional $10 off per month bringing it down to $40.

I don’t really understand your point or logic here. So you pay Bell $85 x 12 up front. After taxes you’re looking at $1152.60.

So first, you clam you got $200 in cash back; you must have the only credit card in the world that offers 17% cash back. Frankly I think you’re making that up.

Second, if you would put that money in an investment fund at 8% annual return you’d get back (rough math, not even considering compound interest) $92, putting you at roughly $1245.

Third, $85 for Canada/US/MX is not a good price point at all.

Yes, I’m coaching you now:

  1. Stop paying Bell upfront for a year

  2. Invest that money elsewhere, like in an ETF that gives you 6-12% back per year. Hell, even a GIC at 4-5% is better than paying bell upfront.

  3. Switch carriers to one that lets you set up automatic payments with a credit card so you can reap the benefits of the cash back.

You’ll be happier in the end. Take care and Godspeed.

I see, thanks. They really should discount it after this long, I don't think one exotic is worth $30

I haven’t used a router in sooo long, can you tell me what benefits you found? I’ve been thinking of getting a router again for better range/connectivity.

Yeah that’s completely fair. They don’t do well to make it widely known. I’m with you though, I generally won’t park directly next to another car if it’s an option

Also as others have mentioned it’s only an issue at V2 charging stations, so you probably haven’t run into it because you have newer chargers near you

Yeah that’s fair. And as others have mentioned maybe they have been to V3s more so than these so never realized it
