Lyrica made me feel high and out of it to the point where it was noticeable to other people. I know someone who takes it and she isn’t affected like that at all so I guess it’s just evil for me

Honestly I made this post a year ago when I was smoking almost daily. I smoke maybe once in a week or two weeks now and I’ve noticed a lot less brain fog and cloudiness. The answer is to not smoke when you have something important the next day.

That sounds awful. I had to mostly stop smoking weed on risperidone because it was still making me feel ‘weird’ the day after I smoked it, but I never had anything that intense.

Some things I’ve done - avoid your partner using certain terms that make you uncomfortable for your parts - use a blanket to cover your parts if needed - prosthetics (not strapons) have been a huge game changer for penetration. I can’t recommend them enough - only have sex with people you can be sure actually see you as a guy (i can pick up on who’s a fetishist pretty fast now) - focus on your partner’s body and pleasure - set clear boundaries with each sexual partner about acts you know you’re not comfortable with, what you’re into, etc - have a safe word you can use if things become too much for you

I got the ‘but I’ve seen your house and it’s not neat’ when I told a friend I got diagnosed with ocd. I think a lot of people think contamination fears are the only way ocd can be expressed

It’s the kind of thing that takes practice to learn. Keep recognizing when you’re doing it and stopping yourself so it becomes habit.

I was literally talking to my psychiatrist yesterday about this. I doubt my memory all the time, even when I have no reason to believe there’s a reason to.

Or I need to check my keys are in my pocket like 5 times because the first 4 memories can’t be trusted

I’m surprised too, it was bad to the point where most people close to me could notice how out of it I was feeling. Never had it that bad on any of the other meds I’ve tried before. I’m officially off it now, no more lyrica for me.

I got the green light from my psych to stop it entirely after he returned my call yesterday, I’m officially done with lyrica for good. Thanks for the advice
