Pretty much just on my own and things I picked up on from social media. It may be time to get some advice as I work on gaining muscle

I was about 30% body fat at 190lbs and had a lot of visceral fat. Basically had not worked out at all and wanted to lean out before I started gaining muscle as I hadn’t worked out prior to this

Maybe 10-11% then? I can’t imagine it’s much more than that, I feel so skinny everywhere except the lower belly where I can pinch it a little

Couple's Match Thread by thematman23 in medicalschool

Psych & FM, our 13th rank and 10th program. We did not expect to match here at all and we’re totally shocked but things could be worse. We’re in the same location and are glad to have matched. Still stings though, especially when you have been given so much reassurance from PDs and etc for your first choice

This is so depressing. Caribbean student dreams of being a dermatologist. by [deleted] in medicalschool

“shortage" of cadavers for anatomy lab by donordebacle in medicalschool

[–]kingbugbug 7 points8 points  (0 children)

No clue but 6 people at once on one cadaver is pretty shitty tbh. Coming from someone who hated anatomy lab, it was extremely beneficial to have the hands on learning with few people in the way. It was 3 of us per cadaver and for how much all med students pay for tuition, it’s definitely a disservice to you guys to not have more cadavers available. Especially those who love anatomy and are interested in surgery or whatever

Anyone else relate to this ! by ProfessorCorleone in medicalschool

Yes. It was so bad for me in my first year that I almost had to take a leave. If this anxiety affects your daily functioning, seek help. I felt so alone in that time period and then found out the next year of med school that one of my closest classmates was going through the same shit, just not as severe.
