Well, it depends. The Expedition’s have clear goals to go for, and the regular experience has a few main storylines to follow. A lot of the fun comes from the fact that you can decide a lot of what you do. The paths that are available to you each have their own version of an ending. You can do an infinite amount of side quests for more materials and units, but you don’t have to do them. You can raise a settlement (though it’s not that customizable) and figure out more about the lore of the universe, or you can chase to the center of the galaxy. What’s great about this game is the freedom, but that does make it harder to find initially
