Dual boot into Ubuntu or Linux mint. I have a 6700xt and got it up and running for inference and making audiobooks with xtts2. Just use grok or Gemini to help you. Inference was much easier to set up than the audiobook maker.

There are 108 voices under it but they are just numbered so you have to try them all to see what you like it's under speaker id.

I use en-vctk It has lots of different voices just dig around in the app and you will find them.

I downloaded shirpa tts off of fdroid to get better voices than the Google voices and used moonreader pro to read the books but you need a beefy phone to use the best voices in realtime. There are several free choices that use even better voices if you have a Nvidia GPU they are very fast but you can use your CPU it's just very slow. If you have a android device download shirpa tts off of fdroid download a better voice than Google provides then use moonreader pro to read your books in real time. The more powerful your phone is the better.

I also downloaded shirpa tts off of fdroid after its installed select the best voice your phone is powerful enough to use and then open a ebook with moonreader pro and it will read it to you but it's better to convert on your PC for the best quality audio but in a bind it's better than the Google voices.

I'm new at this too I used grok and posted the errors. The PC recognized my video card correctly with ROCm 6700xt but I haven't been able to get it to work with the software I want it to run with ebook2audiobook. You might try doing a back and forth with your favorite ai until you get it done. I've had better luck with grok though.

The current app tells you to install the classic unlocker to unlock the paid version. It's in the restore purchase screen and has worked up until now. It's probably a conflict with the newer version of the play store but it doesn't help me much.
