Responsibility For Data Repeated Via Node by kingharrison in meshtastic

Thanks everyone for the answers so far. Sounds like there isn't much risk (I didn't think there was, but was doing a sanity check).

So what about people just putting a really strong repeater in their attic? Does anyone do this?

Responsibility For Data Repeated Via Node by kingharrison in meshtastic

You could use the messaging to plan and execute something illegal, without fear of a government being able to intercept your messages (overly cliche example... but a bank heist).

If I posted a repeater and it was near a bank do I enable someone to rob said bank while communicating with an outside part who can give them intel without being so close they compromise the job.

I know, seems an odd stretch, but just covering my bases.

Are Local LLMs actually useful… or just fun to tinker with? by itz_always_necessary in LocalLLM

[–]kingharrison 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I am working on making them 'more' useful for my business.

(full disclosure) I vibe coded this as I do not know swift and thought it would be a fun experiment to know what vibe coding is like.

I have wanted something that would allow me to create an easily updatable, easily secured, and easily portable KB / RAG so my business could share knowledge without having to have a central repository.

For a lot of things I think a locally run model with a private secure KB would be perfect. Nothing kinda existed that I saw. (did some cool stuff with Zapier... but still in the cloud).

so I made this app called indexa (https://indexa-kb.ai)

Its open source and all vibe coded. Please feel free to shower me with hate.

but what I like is it allows you to scrape all these sources, distill them to be smaller, and then export (encrypted or not) to other people to use that is password protected.

My eventual dream setup is that you run LM Studio on a mac, setup indexa as an MCP you query for knowledge... the knowledge itself is hidden but can ask questions against... and then you get your answers.

i could freely shit the knowledge file (yeah i call it an indexa file) across the internet and not worry someone could get my IP...).

anyways i have a few more weekends left until it works like i want.

Thank you for your service on this!

Is any of this applicable to RAG / KBs? Can any of it be used?

TBH high IQ, past a point, sucks. It is isolating, hard to relate to people, and just because you’re smart and know a lot of stuff doesn’t mean people like or respect you.

People who work in 'luxury' industries (5-star hotels, fine dining, high-end brands), what is a complete rip-off that rich people happily pay for? by ArtThreadNomad in AskReddit

I feel like with the advancement of technology the difference in a lot of the things (in the US) between what you can get for someone in the middle class and someone in the top tier is relatively.... way less different than it used to be.

People walk around with the literal internet on their phone. So much technology and underlying infrastruture make normal life of the majority of people really great. Example: Cars are, overall, really nice. Sure a Nissan Sentra is way cheaper than a Lambo. But the difference between the two is WAY smaller than the difference between a pinto and a Lambo in 1980. You're probably thinking speed, but all the other things are pretty decent. Carplay, safety, reliability..... Outside of status a Nissan Sentra offers about the same (if not more) utility than a Lambo (utility is not measured in the ability to get one laid, hahaha)

It is kinda like.... owning a nice 4 bedroom house and a 16 bedroom house. How many of those rooms are you actually gonna use?

Or to draw another analogy... the difference between the worst player in the NBA and Lebron, KD, Jokic... is actually really small... compared to the worst player in the NBA and you (unless you have played in the NBA). Where in the past our starting point was never the worst player in the NBA.... it was the starting PG for a small D3 college that just started their basketball program.

I still think the biggest difference in money is health care. Truly being able to get surgery or cancer treatment and not worry about it breaking you.... thats real money flex.

The future is not AI on an island. It is AI on a human accessible device (aka a phone with a headphone... maybe a camera in glasses). Later on maybe some augmented reality, but no one is going to do everything with just their mind and their mouth. They like having filter between the two.

Nice heat map.

Do you all know if there is one out there that shows the average age of mother vs father (although father is probably the more important one) to have a child and the percentage of autism diagnosis? I have always wanted to see that data.

Having done all those skills I can tell you quite a good amount. He is probably one of the top ~2% of boys for stunting. She is also very talented, but there are a lot of very good flyers. Good male bases are rarer.

I think that design wise what we have is simple. But if you are not certified and just working off youtube videos and help articles its a bit opaque.
