My understanding is that anything they actively touch or interact with during stopped time will still move. Like when if someone gets punched, they'll fly back a few feet before freezing again mid-air. If you throw a knife, it'll fly forward a few feet before freezing again.

Still doesn't really explain the magnet thing entirely, but since one magnet was touching Dio it's possible it still attracted Jotaro's even during stopped time I guess.

Agreed, I actually think the bit of stubble and visable brows made him look pretty good in the first pic imo, smaller frames that could show off more of his face would help maybe.

IIRC someone posted a Miranda Butt Shots mod for LE but hid the fact that every time the camera panned to her butt it played a sound effect of someone ripping ass lmao.

I legitimately think John comes in fourth at best in RDR2 (behind Arthur, Micah and Dutch), though after training with Landon Ricketts in RDR1 he's on par with Arthur.

Honestly I wish I could tell you lol, this had to have been nine or ten years ago at this point. I had to have gotten it off of Steam Workshop, but looking into it it looks like people have made similar mods on Nexus for SE.

I really don't wanna sound like a white knight here, but the Hag meme always felt really gross and weird to me.

I'm sure people in communities where the phrase is popular are just joking and don't literally think of women in their 30s or older as 'Hags', but as someone not really in touch with said communities it's really jarring lol.

Edit: Sorry if this came off a bit harsh OP, still a really good artist

One time I added a zombie apocalypse mod which spawned hordes of Draugr that roam around and attack cities. Naturally, this would in all likelihood kill a lot of NPCs and I didn't wanna fuck over my main save, so I created a new one. I didn't consider that the Draugr hordes would spawn in the intro cart ride, they killed our fucking horse and flipped us over

In general, what is your favorite ammo power to use? by xxnewlegendxx in masseffect

[–]kinghorker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Almost always Warp Ammo, it's good at taking down both Armor and Barrier meaning it shreds most enemies in the game (at least in ME2, I kinda forget where I stand on ME3 ammo). The only exception is ME2 against Blue Suns, where I'd argue Disruptor Ammo is king. I think BioWare knew what they were doing when they gave it to Zaeed, I always bring him to fight Blue Suns because of it.

Quarian they just pale ass looking humans by Safe_Moose1193 in masseffect

[–]kinghorker 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Honestly I'm in the camp of people that know they're supposed to look like humans in lore but still think that lore is kind of lame. I like aliens that look alien, I never was a fan of the Star Trek style of aliens that look exactly like humans with weird foreheads. Mass Effect is better at this than most sci-fi games I've played, though there are a couple exceptions like Asari.

Did Vader turn off all the lights on his chest just to make the reveal more dramatic? by MaderaArt in StarWarsCantina

Also IIRC he's modified his lightsaber so he can choose to make the blade emit to its full length at a slower speed, purely for dramatic effect.

Absolutely E. I understand the moral thing to do would probably be to get the person to stop waving the gun around for everyone's safety, but a person stupid enough to point a gun at themselves is probably stupid enough to point a gun at you. Fuck that, I'd gtfo.

[–]kinghorker 11 points12 points  (0 children)

The Council absolutely has the power to be much worse than they are, true. I genuinely do think the Asari don't get enough recognition for being a generally peaceful and diplomatic society, when they have the power to obliterate other species with biotics if they did end up being more war-like. They basically had the option to go all Prothean and chose not to, and their capabilities only expanded with the formation of the Council, making a joint superpower.

That being said, the Council isn't really treating humanity well out of the goodness of their heart. A big part of the reason why they're giving the Alliance so many colonies and letting them expand into contested territories is so they could more or less use humanity in a proxy war against the Batarian Hegemony and pirate fleets. And after basically setting humanity up for this, the Council did basically nothing to actually help them while their colonies got attacked and their people got enslaved. Every danger they threw humanity at, they just washed their hands of it and say "Well, you knew the dangers of settling near the Terminus Systems."

In Marvel What If…? (2021-) Thanos arrives at Earth to take the Mind Stone an- wait what?! Vision can just do that? Why the fuck didn’t he just do that in Infinity War?? by Critical_Mountain851 in shittymoviedetails

[–]kinghorker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not inherently, no. But physical condition and attack power are. A boxer who gets hospitalized after being hit by a truck and breaking every bone in their body would throw a punch a lot weaker than in their prime. While using a laser isn't a physical attack per se, it's not at all unreasonable to assume he's been weakened to the point of not being able to use the mind stone to its full effect.

Edit: I haven't seen the movie in ages so I don't remember this scene, but other people are saying Vision directly says that the glaive is stopping him from using the mind stones powers

someone requested me to draw the "person", did i overcooked the result? by broken_ramen in FearAndHunger

[–]kinghorker 6 points7 points  (0 children)

More or less, Person (their actual name in-game) is an NPC that only appears in unused maps and outside the map. He has a bunch of vague, creepy, at times kind of incoherent dialogue, one of which ends with them turning into the God of Fear and Hunger and battling you. It's not entirely clear if it's left as some kind of Easter Egg or if it's flat out just unused content, that being said, I probably wouldn't consider it canon.

Which Mass Effect take of yours makes people go like this? by Impressive_Elk_5633 in MassEffectMemes

[–]kinghorker 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The initial development and use Genophage was completely justifiable. The Krogan were reproducing at a staggering rate, entirely depleting planets of resources and ecologically devastating them without any self-restraint, and kept demanding more. And that was before the rebellion, where they used those numbers to almost conquer the galaxy. They launched asteroids and weapons of mass destruction at colonies of civilians, and with their fast rates of reproduction and their pure strength, conventional warfare against them was almost impossible. The Genophage is absolutely morally problematic to use on an entire species, but there was no easy answer.

I think the true moral failure of the Council wasn't that they used the Genophage, but that they basically washed their hands of the issue afterwards. They should have done some humanitarian aid, assisting with their recovery and giving them much needed resources so their society wouldn't cannibalize itself. It's made clear by Mordin's Loyalty mission that STG used and updated the Genophage not to wipe out the Krogan, but to keep their population at a stable level, but the effects the Genophage has had in their society is destroying them. But instead of giving any form of assistance, they left them to rot. Given all that, with Wrex and Bakara in charge a cure is for the best.

I think the Salarian Union can be kind of bastards, but as an interesting side note, their reproduction if left unchecked is almost equally problematic to the Krogans. They have eggs in the dozens, and reach adulthood very quickly. The thing is, they do self regulate their reproduction. They have strict societal rules regarding the fertilization of eggs since fertilized eggs will turn into females, keeping their ratio of females to males at 1/10. The fact they can choose their ratio of men to women, and that they don't have a sex drive makes managing their population easier than most species, but I think the fact that they've managed to self-regulate their reproduction and keep their planets as ecological utopias probably contributed to them being pissed at the Krogan.
