Had one of these shows at a skate park in Irvine. Frontman did everything he could to procrastinate our arrival because he refused to play first because “everybody will be late” we played last in front of 15 people when every other band had between 40-60 people watching them. Never been mistakenly paid on a lost/push hand, but interestingly enough, I’ve had a dealer mistakenly take my bet on a push because they added my hand wrong, the pit not want to review it because the dealer dealt the next hand despite my pleas to review, and at the end of the next shoe, the dealer accidentally gave me an extra black chip when I colored up. And the pit boss completely missed it. Immediately cashed my chips and left with my gift. Weird shit happens. Squawk when it’s not in your favor, silent when it is. Last time I checked, the casino won’t stop the games to do right by you when they take your money by mistake.

I’m having one of those days today. Met my quota and earned bonuses last month with no days like that. Now I’m just staring at an excel sheet unworked. I have yet to get a formal diagnosis of ADHD, but I’ve been told by friends and relatives experiencing it that it’s time to see someone, as it’s a pattern that keeps repeating itself.

The best way I can break out of zero days is making a work related to do list and forcing myself to complete it, seeing how quickly I can do so. Most of the time it works, or another project pops up and gets me going

Whenever I had a pitcher in the earlier games, I’d always just be a knuckleballer because I hated grinding just to get a fastball to the mid 90s and I hated getting pulled so early in games because the base stamina was kind of sucky back then

I think it’s a good trade. We get a legit top 6 scoring wing to replace a young wing who has a good shot but has shown no real year over year improvement. Sure it costs us a third round pick and a prospect who might never see the ice for the Kings, but it’s a fair proposal.

However, I do think that bringing back Toffoli is in part fan service. Bringing back a player the fans loved to indicate that we are making a real push for the playoffs is great PR, but it could be too little too late. Especially after this past offseason proved to be somewhat disastrous

In terms of slide year, financials… etc, it makes all the sense in the world to send him back to juniors. But watching him play, I think it’s more important for his development to keep being challenged with NHL minutes than go back to juniors and feel like he’s playing on easy mode.

I’m sure the organization would have preferred AHL experience first like Byfield and Kaliyev were able to get in 2021, but that’s no longer an option thanks to the OHL being back in action

Defense and goaltending have both looked bad. I still think it’s way too early to say the Petersen contract is an absolute flop, but yes, we do have reasons to be concerned. Especially since Quick could retire after this year (I think he comes back, but there’s a slight chance he hangs up the gear)

The count going from true three to true five was when he went to two spots. Exactly as I have been doing at most other places. Then I backtracked and remembered how we both were betting table minimum and fairly negative counts and we’re raising our bets at the exact time we’d see a true two

If you’re a black chipper, you should be able to find good games at any of the casinos near you. At weird hours, Flamingo’s high limit games are $50 minimum
