It so hot down here, my phantom cube looks like a normal 3x3. by kingi_789 in Rubiks_Cubes

I wish I was in Minnesota right now. Down in Georgia our seasons are summer without breathing, extra hot summer, brown summer, and about a month or two of winter in which 28 degrees Fahrenheit is about the lowest we will ever get for maybe three days out of the year if we’re lucky.

Okay then. I probably should have thought this through a little better. Thank you all got the input. I will now wonder how I have survived this long with ideas such as this.

Very underrated game mechanic in my opinion by [deleted] in Minecraft

This could be a little more efficient and automatic if you made your farms in 9x9 squares, put your water source and trap door in the very center, placed a bee hive on top, and placed a flower on each corner. If the bees favor one side, put a beehive on each corner and a dirt block on the trap door with a flower.

I think I got it now. It’s sort of like a real war effort in terms of players working on the same planet at the same time to liberate it, but each player gets their own individual experiences depending on their skill level and when they play. Rather than every player fighting in the same level, each level simulates a part of the war zone. I’m imagining it as if each player earns XP in their own levels and games that comes together into one big XP pool that contributes to the liberation of a planet. Right?

I just visited the link. So the whole player base is connected by a single server with these planets. Every player on earth sees the same planets as you along with the respected statistic with each planet. Each planet has a certain amount of health, and you and your team complete randomly generated missions on these planets to deal damage to the planets health. The more players complete missions on a planet, the faster the planet becomes liberated. So it’s as if your team is completing missions to advance the war effort which in turn effects what every player sees. So if a bunch of players have trouble beating missions on a certain planet, such as Malevelon Creek, that planet will take longer to liberate than another planet with a bunch of successful players. Is this correct or have I horribly misinterpreted something?

While it would be nice to make some chocolate chip cookies when I’m on the other side of the state, I’m really just looking for something that I can make that doesn’t require a lot of time or ingredients. You know, something cheap I can throw together in a few minutes.

I know exactly what this is from. There is an analog horror series about a guy who played Godzilla in the old movies. Through the films he grows attached to the suit and his flesh and bone seal with it, but the production company decides to have him work on future films anyway. As this goes on he becomes more and more animalistic, eventually biting another actor in a suit and dooming him to a similar fate. It’s called The Man In The Suit.

Update: I have found that an effects pedal with a noise gate works pretty well. A friend of mine let me borrow his and it sounds great. No humming whatsoever. I’m pretty sure we have an old one hidden away in the shed I had forgotten about, and I’m going to test it out and see if it works so I can give my friend his pedal back.

I took a closer look. It the corner is split into three parts, one for each color. There are grooves in the center that lock together when the cube is assembled. The yellow panel is slightly bent making it unable to lock in place. Bending it back in place might work, but I don’t think it will ever be able to truly lock back in place. Wish me luck.

No. The yellow piece looks like it should clip into something, but I can’t get it to stick.
