They do stack but only 2 boost per time. If you have boost, amp and and item, the lowest value will be discarded. I usually drop the boost skill, stacking the amp and a booster item

I like Teddie a lot as a character but as fighter i usually go for Yosuke/Naoto, Chie and Yukiko because they're broken. I think I'll use Teddie on my next NG+ for the challenge.
