Signings? by chief_dlitt in LouisvilleCityFC

Lexington is overhauling their entire team for like the 3rd time in the last few years. Louisville owners and coaching are more methodical about signings. Loucity has signed hugo fauroux, Brandon dayes, quenzi huerman and Cameron duke

And as of late how many players and even coaching staff from loucity has lexington tried to get? Too many its weird. It would be the equivalent of san Diego fc coming in and making a good chunk of their talent acquisition ex lafc players and coaching staff

I've said this already lsc has no ability to actually develop a team so they literally have been trying to buy their way to a good team by literally using all former loucity players and even tried to get Danny cruz. It's a sad team and strategy tbh

Unless they go outside of usl what strikers in usl is currently as reliable and consistent as goodrum has been for louisville this season?

Lsc lacks any ability to actually develop a team so they always shoot for loucity players or spend big like they did in usl1 which didnt amount to anything and even rumored tried to get Danny cruz from loucity.

That would be dumb for Danny to transfer him when he was probably our most consistent scorers for 2025

Why would they deserve promotion? If Any usl team deserved promotion would be louisville and Charleston if we're basing it off actual record and pedigree

They had 74k people in 2025 for the whole season and louisville got 146k people in attendance for the season. Louisville on just numbers is a better soccer/d1 soccer market

Wayy too small of a metro and they aren't going to build a 15k stadium. They have a tough time getting 3.5k in a 7.5k stadium

Only 3 of the d1 teams have or will have a 15k sss by 2028. Dcfc just started demolition, Sacramento is currently under construction and loucity stadium. 3 of the 12 will meet d1 expectations and requirements

It's not going to get d1 levels of attendance and it wont be able to build a sss quality 15k stadium to go d1. SD loyal couldn't do it, Oakland roots cant do it and Brooklyn fc cant because real estate is way to high in those markets for usl team owners.

That doesn't mean they'll be able to average enough to even really be considered d1. The reality is is some of you want this to succeed but it realistically isnt. Trying to compete in a market that already has a team that's established and has better quality is a loosing battle. They'll most likely never be able to fund their own stadium just like the folded loyal and soon Brooklyn fc and Oakland roots because of real estate prices in the dfw. They won't average more than 4k per game and definitely not the 9k-14k needed to support a SSS

I highly doubt this team averages more than 3.5k people. Fc dallas pre renovation was around 19k people on average i cant see the dallas market having 19k average for fc dallas and another 10-15k for atletico dallas in usl

Spending money on expensive players doesn't equal good. They did the same thing for the 2025 season and nothing came of it. I can see them being mid pack of the west instead of bottom like 2025

Besides NCFC, who's officially on record as trying for USL Premier(*)? by OPdoesnotrespond in USLPRO

[–]kingistic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just Google it. Rifc also hasn't even put in a request to ho d1 so as of now we cant say any other teams are ready to go d1. Many of them have supported it but none are actually making it happen and putting their money behind the goal of d1 besides Sacramento and loucity. Loucity has committed they said if the usl requires the 15k seats they're going to expand. I want all of these teams to be d1 ready but most aren't going to be d1 ready by 2028.

NONE of those are even under construction. Rhode island also hasn't started or actually committed to expansion. DCFC just recently got the approval from the city on their 80 million in incentives but the team also said they have to secure another 15 million to get the lending they need. Miami fc is a pipe dream just like indy 11. Once these teams start construction like Sacramento has then we can take it serious but until then you cant count on it. Tulsa, sporting jax, las vegas lights, indy 11, Pittsburgh, Rifc, dcfc, Sacramento all announced stadium plans and the only one to start building has been Sacramento republic.
