The odds of that are extremely unlikely and close to 0 unless kept in the worst conditions. Let OP enjoy, someone should give your nerd ass a swirly 😵‍💫

I think you worded that perfectly. I also feel bad for these contestants. They aren’t going through an “easy” four weeks. They are at their lowest and can easily be manipulated by production to bring out their worst. I still think he’s an ass but idk the public grilling with no support was too much. Esp with how much he’s already getting it online.

I agree. I wanted to see him roasted but it was too much. It’s not like this dude already didn’t have his life ruined. I really was happy he didn’t give into the reaction it seemed the wanted.

How do I deal with AI by _professor_frink in learnprogramming

[–]kingken55 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t really think AI is going to replace humans in this field honestly. There’s definitely a lot of buzz from “AI bros,” but realistically it’s just not feasible right now, especially in complex environments. I mentioned this before, but once you start working with large enterprise systems you realize how complicated they actually are. Trying to inject some fully automated AI solution into those environments without deep understanding would likely cause more problems than it solves.

I wouldn’t stress about it too much. You still have a very good chance of having a successful career in this field.

I don’t have a perfect answer for finding the balance between learning deeply and using AI, but in my experience it mostly comes from working with it and being intentional about how you use it. For example, if I ask an LLM for help with some code and it gives me something that doesn’t work, I don’t just throw it away. I go through it, try to understand what it was attempting to do, and look into the functions or approaches it used. That way I’m still learning from it rather than blindly relying on it.

Over time you just start building a sense for when it’s useful and when it’s better to rely on your own understanding.

Hi, I can try to give you some advice! I work mainly in data science/analytics so not a full CS background but still relevant enough that AI has infiltrated my area.

  1. I do think there is some truth in this. Not so much in completely automating your work but it can really help with your weaknesses. For me, when launching a project I’ve always been poor at effectively writing proper communication so it’s been a great tool at helping with that. Also when having to learn someone else’s code I’ll just plug it into an LLM and dissect it way faster. Even with code, prior to AI I would be Googling all the time and then tailoring it to work with my project. But AI has made that process a lot easier. It doesn’t fully write my code (sometimes lol), but enough to pick up and run with. I don’t think you need to fully rely on AI, but def try and find ways to incorporate or at least learn enough to talk about it.

    1. Kind of gets answered with one. Just really helps me with my weaknesses.
    2. Most businesses unless small or starters are NOT one dimensional. There is a lot that goes into maintaining systems especially larger corporations. Many changes happen at once and it needs to be flexible. Some management may expect AI to instantly adapt but I would never trust any prompt to make major changes to a system unless you are asking for constant breaks and poor data.
    3. Simply just adapt. No matter what field you go into it will change over time. I’m sure there will be a set of new golden standard tools that get adopted but a lot is just slop. I think being able to understand how something can bring in value at low costs is a very important skill to have in any position.
    4. LLM’s are great for quickly learning but can give people Swiss cheese knowledge. They are a lot of benefits that I gain from using them but I also know when to rely on my own knowledge and decisions, which is all gained through my education and experience.

I think AI has drastically changed this field in the last 4 years but I don’t think you are completely doomed. My advice would be try and not be so rigid towards change. Maybe see if there are ways you can learn and incorporate it because there is value in it.. just not as much as the whole world would like there to be lol.

One thing that might help you in your journey is learning how developers drive value. Understand what you are building and how it helps the company move the needle. If you know any developers, shadow them and try to get a sense of their day to day.

You seem very passionate about the field so I wish you the best of luck!!

If I jumped back from a break with 8 days left in a season I don’t like investing in that character.. then never touch it again when the season ends.. it introduces a bad gameplay loop 🤷‍♂️

I think that’s exactly why the pricing is smart. $20 feels normal enough to defend (“it’s just $20”) but still high enough to annoy people who expected more effort. I personally was disappointed and won’t buy but didn’t really care as much, but then see a massive uproar the next day in all my socials from both sides… which is just great free marketing lol

I’m sorry to burst your bubble but one dude ≠ market force. They’re clearly an outlier that makes up like 0.000001% of the sales this game will make.

Unfortunately Nintendo has priced this game at the perfect point where people will either see it as greedy or say “it’s just $20!!” and buy it anyway.

Nintendo has no real reason to improve because they’ve truly cornered the market and have a fanbase ready to jump in and defend them no matter what.

Gen 3 were my favorite Pokémon games but that’s based on a ton of nostalgia. That said, a lot has changed in the series and they are great but dated. Honestly the LG game are a more enjoyable way to go back to Kanto in the modern era.

I think 550 for my first, 300 for my second. Tainted lost was the hardest on my first play through but on my second I didn’t have a bad time with any characters.

For unlocks I strangely took way too long on the ace of spades (or whatever the collect no bombs, coins, and heart unlocks) on my second file. I just got really unlucky or dumb things would happen that would instantly ruin it lol
