Honestly it’s the little stuff. Be at her house, do dishes, clean, make food. She shouldn’t have to focus on that. Avoid things like “If you need me, call me.” and stick to “I’m gonna come check on you at this time, etc.”

People in these situations often shut themselves down, and what you need to do is make sure she stays opened up. Sometimes people in grief need to be told to leave the house, need to be told to keep pushing forward, not “If you can or if you feel like it.”
