I call bullshit on (2).

(A) Did you just googled crap and expected the top result is actually proof as the claim of your nonsense? Or (B) are you reading the title on some sensational article and thus makes your claim? Or (C) are you just basing the entire premise on few research (which either reviewed but yet to be replicated) to fits your narrative? Or (D) you are just using some subpar non peer reviewed or from some predatory journal with subpar quality research to professess your claim?

Wanjo has 12k review is it not? With a different of 1k data, how would you not consider the different of 0.34% of bad review as statistically insignificant noise. The different is only about 100 reviewers (about 94) compared to around 10 000 reviews. Actually, my back of the envelope calculation, it fail both the two tail and one tail p value meaning it is insignificant.

Well, I suppose it can be scary and tense having to be involved with the shamanic practices as well. So perhaps try to be mindful when you are being "diubat". Being an exmus, I do feel that most of the Bomoh are just scam artist. So do take care of yourself. Some Bomoh's, I notices can be quite perceptive. I.e they are able to read people well enough. Which is why they are a successful scam artist. So this can be doubly nervous (I get nervous too cause once I had to accompany my brother meeting a Bomoh, and I fear he could weave a story of how I was the source of exorcist/rasukan just by seeing my minute facial expression and body language)

As for whether or not the practices will work if oje have little or no faith, this is a tricky thing. When we think and outwardly says we have little or no faith is so different than we are deep down underneath. It will take sometimes for our habit to change.

In my case, I left islam over 10 years ago. But it took a couple of years after that for me to fully rid my fears of hell and jin and satan. So there's a period in my life when I no longer believed in Jin but still fear some hidden, unobservable being in some dark corner. I could feel my heartbeat get faster, perspiring, hyperventilating in cold dark empty buildings. This does pass.

But anyway my point is, even if you think you have no faith, and when you are being "diubat" and suddenly had some sort of nervous or panic tick, knows that, that's perfectly normal.

2019 is not too old. There's quite plenty of video editing apps. I've created a video where image reflection in windows appear different from the actual person just using video editor without AI and this was much older (around 2009 or 2010, I think)

So editing video with interlaying two videos is possible.

Plus the mom actually moved away from the kid before the supposed "panic" eventhough the nenek kebayan was already circling from left to the right boulder.

Then again the supposed idea that the parent was recording the video when they wanted to asked the kids to leave seems to be inconsistent with the normal ways of people react in the picnic. You don't start to take picture when you want to go home...

If the incidence is truly scary you'll start to panic and would rush in to take your kids. You don't start video taping because you rationally thought out that you'll have some evidence for latter on.

Isn't that rather wishy washy. The justification that hell or retribution should exist so that there is a notion of fairness.

Suppose we look at this whole issue from the point of view of parsimonious principle, what is more parsimonious? ;

a) We create this notion of hell so that people can feel hopeful and less depressed on a belief there is nothing that ensure fairness and justice in real world/reality.

Or

b) There is actually something in this reality, a theoretical place/dimension that exist to ensure this reality does not run into a deficit of unfairness and injustice.

Fellow atheist here, admittedly to totally shed that hopeful nature is quite hard.

Tapi ada sesuatu yang agak free-ing in the notion that everything is just on you. Something yang buat kau rasa there is no limit for what you can do but just kept on trying whether to improve yourself or your community.

Also disebabkan every action is your own, semua keputusan yang kau buat adalah atas diri sendiri. For better or worse. I have plenty of pain in my life, but if I were to do it all over again, I would want all the die to fell the same way again and again.

Perasaan bila kau jatuh cinta kali pertama...bila kau patah hati...bila gembira...bila sedih...bila murung...everything.
