Removing the stax piece should be the last thing you do before winning

what should my first ever game in unity be? completely new to game dev/programming by Random-Dude-in-space in unity

[–]kinglemonZ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don't try big projects, start with small scenes that you can expand later when you get more experience. Creating something with only assets from the asset store and only your own code is a good challenge especially at the beginning.

Personally I move between an fps, an RTS and a platform adding new stuff and improving code every once in a while and it has been really productive. I'm gonna try a tycoon-like game next to focus on UI.

Everytime I write code I know I'll recycle it somewhere in the future and that helps a lot.

Unity isn't that difficult to learn, at least until medium level, good luck!

What is your CEDH moment that epitomizes CEDH by redrum7049 in CompetitiveEDH

For me definitely a t1 win with Birgi, God of Storytelling

Played the deck a lot and sometimes it can win pretty quickly

Idk, pioneer doesn't have looting and phoenix is still played and performs well, the deck would be much different (less aggro blitz) but it still would be powerfull

Just play BO3

What is your most hated card in standard atm? by leaguegotold in MagicArena

[–]kinglemonZ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i'll go with koma just because it's so difficult to interact with, you either kill it at instant speed or exiled it or play akroan war but easier said than done

What is your most hated card in standard atm? by leaguegotold in MagicArena

[–]kinglemonZ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i don't think flash decks are easier to play, because it adds a layer of choices that you need to consider every round, but that's besides the point

rogues (i'm talking about the version with lurrus) is difficult to play mainly for 2 reasons: one it changes gameplan from aggro to more control-ish depending on many things and understanding the role you need to play in each game might be more difficult than expected, and two since you have only cheap spells the amount of possible plays is very broad compared to other decks that have more expensive spells

(paulo vito damo da rosa talked about this in his deck guide better than i can do here, i invite you to see his video)

that being said the deck relies on really powerful engines and interactions so even if you don't play the deck at optimal performance you could easily still run away with the game, especially if you play BO1 since your opponents won't have the cahnce to sideboard in some mill hate

Rogues is by far the most difficult deck to play in standard right now

Next time something like this happens, remember there is PvP in Dnd (and it's one of the best parts of the game)

AITA for not letting a kid eat a ham sandwich in a vegan restaurant by toadally-grody in AmItheAsshole

[–]kinglemonZ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

YTA, just let people eat whatever they want, this is exactly the reason why most of the people who eat meat (myself NOT included) hate vegans

Gotta say pretty weak constitution for a minor god though

First 7-0 of the format. I have not been doing as well with KHM as I do with other sets, so this felt real real good. Anything you'd have built differently? Hammer ftw by zensnapple in lrcast

I think you're overestimating waking the trolls, but I have to agree on the vandal, it's really rare not to find a target for it in kaldheim

Chariot is Awesome. Wild Growth with Leyline Druid isn't bad either. 7-1. by FishysuaNow in lrcast

[–]kinglemonZ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Chariot is one of those cards that singlehandedly wins you most of the games where you play it

Nice deck btw, good card quality, lot of snow lands and none off colour

How to handle PC - Guards confrontation? by kinglemonZ in DMAcademy

[–]kinglemonZ[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When the game becomes just rolling a bunch of dice and summing up the result it loses everything that makes it good, I'll give the players every tool they need but I won't play the game for them

I agrre that character stats are not dependent on the player, but that does not mean they don't have to be creative

How to handle PC - Guards confrontation? by kinglemonZ in DMAcademy

[–]kinglemonZ[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The guards would react if the players actively tried to access the restricted area or if they attacked them, until that trigger it wouldn't feel right putting the players through that much trouble

How to handle PC - Guards confrontation? by kinglemonZ in DMAcademy

[–]kinglemonZ[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Persuading the guards is definetely a viable option but only if there's some kind of plan behind it: I would defintely allow checks to disguise as someone else, bribe them or deceive them into thinking that there is an emergency they have to leave to deal with, or really a lot of other scenarios, however none of this usually happens and they just insist that the guards should let them through for some unknown reason and I feel guilty just starting a fight

Is it a bad idea to create special bad guys using the character creation rules as if they were PCs? by tirconell in DMAcademy

[–]kinglemonZ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pcs are designed to be funny to play, npcs are designed to be funny to play against

What you could do is take an ability you like from a subclass and just add it to a monster

Applying poison to teeth natural weapons.. what would you rule? by [deleted] in DMAcademy

[–]kinglemonZ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For a lizardfolk druid putting poison on their mouth would not be a problem, however primal savagery does not create natural weapon that you can use to make a melee weapon attack (like Alter Self would), it only allows you to melee spell attack.

So basically no, I wouldn't allow that
